Does anyone on here see an adult collector box set with non-turtle characters from the 80s and 90s in the future or do you think everything will turtle themed.

Who wants this after NECA movie turtles? But I guess in low quantities they'll sell out so it works. If it's 6 it makes sense to have splinter and foot since they have the most unique sculpts but I wouldn't be surprised if a repainted Wave 1 Shredder makes it instead
I had no idea , i loved my shogun turtle as a kid and never liked the movie 3 turtles. Adding chrome and animals definitely helped make them cool. |

I saw a clearer image. It's totally 6 figures...so who aside from the Turtles do you think we'll get?

It's probably the four turtles with inaccurate belts, a foot soldier and the movie splinter without a robe or clothes.

Yup... I'm trying to liken the poor bootleg attempt to what Playmate does now with it's own IP's.
I hate these re-releases of existing old figure molds. Hate 'em. |

What box set will be after the Movie Star Box Set?
So far, there has been an animated series box set, original Mirage comic book box set, and now the Movie Star box set. Where do they go from there? |

I've already let my thoughts be known on the other reissue packs they have done recently... I'd be more okay with it if they'd just release new product as well, instead of the nonstop repaints/reproductions
That said... If this pack includes Splinter I will be highly considering it simply because I don't have these anymore (lost a lot of vintage figs over the years, had them as a kid)... at least these are figures that haven't been reprinted time and time again over the years like the wave 1 88 turtles. I still think that the best thing Playmates could do right now if they have no interest in doing NEW figures/molds is at least do what Mattel is doing with their MotU Origins line and reissue the old figs with new articulation and possibly some new accessories/heads where necessary. Fans would love that. |

The 90s had better reissues than those of this century so far for the most part. The only re-releases that stand out from this century are the 25th Anniversary Slash and 25th Anniversary April O' Neil. It's a travesty that BAIT and Medicom have sold a BE@RBRICK of Scratch and we have seen nothing from Playmates. There's no way to get through to the team of Playmates, but we can force them to go back to the drawing board by not buying any TMNT products from them. Until that happens, the 2020s will be the time of box sets from Playmates. I think the next box set might be for the Rock N Rollin' TMNT. |

These will come in handy for figure-modders or whoever wants to practice with figure-painting.
