4kids TMNT series question
I know how 4kids is horrible when it comes to bringing back classics & such so, I was wondering did 4kids actually do good with this classic series or did the eff it up badly like they do with most of there stuff?

... I'm not sure I understand the question. What do you mean by "bringing back classics"? You mean Turtles Forever?

Not really for Turtles Forever; Leonardo acted out of character, and the turtles ran when THEY NEVER EVER RUN. They were portrayed as incompetent, immature kids. *sigh* I really hate how Nick released the movie on DVD with scenes edited out...

Well, its just with other series that were/are popular that 4kids showed... I've heard they butcher and screw it all over... thats what I am basically wondering of thats what they did to the TMNT series that they covered.

Did you actually watch the show? Plus I can't even understand what you're trying to say.

You must be referring to all the silly censorship 4Kids did with their anime programming.
TMNT was entirely created with 4Kids' standards in mind; the anime shows weren't. To my knowledge nothing in the 4Kids TMNT series was cut due to violence or extreme situations. Same as it Never Was is proof of that. |

I... I think this guy is under the impression that 4Kids took the 1987 series, added censorship like they did with their anime, and subsequently butchered it.
That's just my guess. I still have no idea what this guy is really trying to say. |

What's funny is that despite 4kids heavily censoring anime in terms of death, violence and Japanese references....they actually allowed TMNT to be one of the most violent shows on Saturday Mornings as far as it could go.
There are a few character deaths in the show, the fight scenes can be brutal at times, and there is tons of Japanese influence and characters like The Battle Nexus, Ninja Tribunal, and Splinter, etc. Obviously there's no blood and Leo/Raph didn't slash any humans with their blades, but those are the constraints of Saturday mornings. |

They didn't let Insane in the Membrane air for being too dark or Nightmares Recycled.

I think the TC is stating that 4kids has the habit of picking up classic franchises and create version of them that are not exactly on the same standards of the original.
If that is indeed the question TC don't worry, they've created what in my opinion is the best animated version of the TMNT, the closest you'll ever get to an animated version of the original Mirage comics, that is, until they finished the 4th season, the last 3 seasons suck badly, especially the 5th and 7th ones.

An opinion can be neither true nor untrue.

And I like Fast Forward, I just think it feels like a completely different series.

They still didn't mind letting any 7-year olds seeing it on the DVD though. |

I had no problem at all with Season 5 being magical/mythical with transformations. |
