What aspects of this show would you like to see in future versions?

As title says, what original characters/ideas in the 4Kids series would you like to see done in future versions of tmnt?

Me personally, I wanna see:

1. The Ancient One and the Ninja Tribunal

2. A very arrogant Baxter like in this show who is repeatedly punished by Shredder

3. Rat King being a super soldier made by Bishop, but explored more in depth.

Thats all I can think of for now, but what are your thoughts?

Almost everything (that was good) has been used again in IDW. The main writer said the 2k3 series was his favorite incarnation so I can see why he uses nearly all the concepts.

What I do wanna see:
-Ancient One
-its unique Foot classes (brawler, mystic, stealth, etc.)
-Inuwashi Gunjin
-Serling

I'd toss in Bishop/Battle Nexus but they've been brought back already.

What I don't wanna see:
-The turtles using scooters/bicycles/etc. (I'll forgive skateboards as there's a precedent)
-Mirage stories being butchered
-Garbageman
-Karai as Shredder's daughter or subservient of any kind

  • Redemptive storyarc for Baxter Stockman
  • Time travel
  • More use of darkness and shadows in the visual design
  • Urban setting that is gritty in a naturalistic way (especially like the first season of 2k3)
  • Larger universe with the Triceratons and Federation (IDW does this well)
  • Mirage adapations, but from later in the storyline (maybe Tales V2 or Volume 4 of the original series)

The entire IDW series is basically Fred Wolf mixed with 4kids, mixed with a bit of Mirage, and some all new stuff. And a few Archie storylines.

IDW is basically the writers throwing every past TMNT series into a blender and making it into one. Sometimes I think they do too much, almost every notable TMNT characters shows up in it eventually.

I really enjoy their takes on Slash, Leatherhead, and the Neutrinos especially.

Pigeon Pete seems doomed to be lame no mater what adaptation he's in.

One thing I'd like to see come back is multiple Shredders.

Makes his legacy seem all that greater.

Raphael Shredder from Image would be cool if thrown into the mix.

edit: Just realized that Raphael Shredder did appear in 2k3 series, silly me

IDW's Slash feels like a re-skinned Mirage/4kids Leatherhead, so I'm glad their Leatherhead is going a different route so they don't feel like clones of each other.

Most of the good things came back already, Bishop, Hun, Battle Nexus and the Dark Turtles. Humm only thing that comes to mind that hasn't come back yet are Touch&Go, they are full of potential and would love to see what IDW could do with them.

Just for the love of god no more Dragon Turtles...

Similar Turtle character designs and personalities, and the general tone of the series.

I could go for the similar designs and the darker tone which really appealed to me. Personally an elaborate triceraton arc would be great. I'd like to see the utrom as benevolent again. The battle nexus is another favorite for me as well
I also liked the tribunal and the mystic fury tmnt. They really appeal to me and let's not forget the bada$$ toys that could made haha

For as much as I talk about loving the shady side of the Utroms, I want to see them benevolent again too.

And also with Leatherhead returning to being their ward as well.

And they did that, twice. Nick's Bishop was a great take on the character, he just wasn't a villain/antagonist in the series.
