I don't think he does so any more than the others... though he's probably the most functionally independent of the 4.
Don: "We're breaking up as a family? Cool. I'll move to Japan and build a life there tomorrow and work on A.I.s and stuff." Raph: "I'm moving to the swamp and will eat birds for food." Leo: "This tree looks great to grow old and die in." Mike: "Did we break up as a family? I didn't notice because I on girlfriend #6 now writing a bunch of books."

He’s a strange fellow. I enjoy the characterization he got as Mirage went on. From his semi-awkward confrontation with Casey in “Shades of Grey” to the secret little shed where he kept Stockman locked away, as seen in volume 4.
I got the impression that he keeps a lot to himself. Maybe even a slight superiority complex could be argued. Seems like the guy to make the pragmatic choice, over emotionally motivated. Maybe even to a shocking degree. He is easily the most likely to agree with Ozymandis in Watchmen. Much more interesting than the typical “geek” characterization. While Raphael is often seen as the outcast, it seems Donatello doesn’t feel he can confide in his brothers at all. Even when plucking a hair from Splinter dead body, he didn’t share it with his brothers. Last edited by AquaParade; 09-05-2021 at 01:43 PM. |
