Totally looks like they are trying to coast off Neca with these “similar” looking packs.

$5 says Playmates didn't bother to fix Rocksteady's backwards legs again.

And with the other set being a Triceraton, I'm fully expecting them to dip back into the Primal Rage well.

There's a Raphael vs Shredder pack.
Are they finally releasing that 6 inch Shredder?

I've always liked those designs for Rocksteady and Bebop. Not toon accurate at all, and it looks like they scale horribly with the Turtles, but I might be up for owning a pair.

I have the KO versions of the Turtles. My Raphael broke. I always wanted the Bebop and Rocksteady and was thinking of getting the KOs for a while. Maybe, I will just purchase these two-packs. Shredder and Triceraton should look glorious if they are new molds that resemble B&R.

Well now I’m willing to take a look at their shredder, but I’m not holding my breath

I just want to see the Triceraton. The Bebop and Rocksteady scale always bugged me because the Turtles are so huge. Even the prototypes of Krang and Shredder always looked too small. What’s a bummer is if you’ve already bought these turtles you’ll have to buy two a second time to get Shredder and the triceraton. I was hoping Playmates actually did something new here with these two packs. Does anyone know who did the Bebop and Rocksteady artwork? I don’t mind off model artwork sometimes, but this isn’t doing anything for me at all.

The animated Mutations Rocksteady image is from the late 2000s or early 2010s, but the Mutations Bebop art was used for a Mello Smello sticker sheet in the mid-90s.

This is worrying. If playmates think they can compete in the same market as NECA and Super7 they may pull the plug on other companies doing TMNT. I do not want these over those.

The box still stays "Ages 4+" so we shouldn't have anything to worry about.

I'm certain that for Shredder and Triceraton will probably be the vintage toys. Nothing surprises me with Playmates. "Yep. Saw this coming." moment.

The differences in scaling would be insane!

Given the way Playmates has operated, seeing them try to mimic the competition is just sad. Given how poorly they're attempt is, it's actually pretty gross.

Wonder how Neca feels about this.

Well, if nothing else, at least we got new Triceraton art loosely based on the original 1990 action figure.

This is EXACTLY in response to neca, the price point, everything.

Playmates just has to make an 'effort' to release product in scales or pricepoints and can then flex their master license muscle and say "see we are also producing 'collector' product at a 50.00 pricepoint" which then throws neca off the shelves in toy isles or collector isles.

It is what they tried to do with the never released mirage series shredder etc. they showed them at toyfair in order to say 'look we have product coming too'
