I haven't done this in a while, but I can eat a whole bag of Polly-O string cheese without even thinking about it.

You've gotta be joking. I remember having coffee in my sippy cup as a preschooler while watching Sesame Street. Now granted, the cup was probably half filled with milk. I don't eat sweets at all but I DO make a couple of exceptions. If there are gummi bears around or if someone puts them near me... yeah, I'll eat them. I'm fairly partial to key lime pie, too. But nothing else at all, really, and I wouldn't buy even those things.

Funny thing is, I don't seem to like sweets as much anymore. Like I like em... but it's like say... chocolate chip cookies or whatever, I'll have a few but after that I'd be like 'eh, yeah that's enough for today', while as a kid I'd have to fight myself to not each the whole bag.

I do still like gummies, swedish fish, vanilla wafers and whatnot. Maybe the packages are so small I don't get tired of em but I feel like I can eat fruit gummies all day.

As for coffee, occasionally. But I'm not like the 'I need my morning coffee to function' types.

Not really a coffee drinker, unless it's a mocha frappe. Those I LOVE. Sweets, on the other hand.... If it's chocolate, it will vanish around me. Especially brownies, chocolate chip cookies, or certain candy bars. Or the Girl Scout Thin Mints. Those things I can devour an entire box of in one sitting. Also love gummi worms, sweettarts, or the strawberry licorice whips are favorites, too. I've always had a bit of a sweet tooth, but not to excess. Just hard to fight temptation when it presents itself. But usually just a single bar or a few of whatever it is is plenty.

I never had coffee because growing up as a kid my parents never drank coffee so there was never any in the house, and then when I got older I just never felt any need to buy any. I just don't see a need for it, I watch the Folders commercials and see how they wake people up with folders in your cup and I don't get it. It's the same reason I virtually never go into Starbucks.

When I think of Starbucks I think of the guy from Battlestar Galactica, I don't think of a coffee shop.

For almost all of my life, I used to drink milk with my coffee, but over the last few years my wife ruined it for me. Now I can only drink coffee creamer with my coffee.

I think the cultural aspect of coffee has carried the sweets thing with it forever. Basically they are inextricably as coffee was always a "breakfast" item or a mid-morning item that came along with some kind of baked dough product with it and it evolved from there. It's like "tea and crumpets" although the somewhat generic and childlike use of "sweets" is a little insipid.

I think it's more normalized by something like 'coffee and donuts' or 'coffee and pastry'. Most people don't sit around with 'coffee and jellybeans', you know.
