I managed to get a higher resolution image.
Spoiler:
Ugly, and it reminds me of Star Wars Rebels for some reason. |

You can already imagine the stereotypical SJW archetypes each one will fill.

I'm amazed Star Trek managed to go on so long without children shows like these. Honestly thinking about it I'm surprised it didn't happen sooner, it was probably just a matter of time.

None of those characters look like Star Trek aliens. They look more like characters from the next Disney/Pixar movie than anything.

The one prop I can give to these designs is that they take advantage of the whole cartoon thing and doesn't make any of them human. That's probably the weakest aspect of live-action Trek, that the galaxy allegedly has thousands of civilizations in the Alpha Quadrant alone, yet nearly all the main characters are human and those who aren't look just like humans except for like pointy ears or wrinkly noses or some other small detail that won't give the make up department nightmares.
Beyond that, this art style is really ugly. It just looks kind of off-putting and awkward. |

Filmation's Star Trek: The Animated Series was, I assume, for kids. Then again, Trek's always been a series for the whole family...until the Dark Time.

Huge M'ress fan from age three. No shame.
I watched that show every weekday morning on Nickelodeon back then, no kiddin'. Then at night I'd watch the actual Trek show on WPIX 11 with my Mom. You'd think I'd be more of a Trek fan, given all that. ((shrug))

I remember watching Trek with my mom growing up too.
It and Buffy...so there's that lil chestnut.

They've "debuted" what Janeway looks like in this:
https://io9.gizmodo.com/star-trek-pr...ane-1846622770 So... OK. I'm gathering that this show is just about a bunch of Delta Quadrant miscreants screwing around, who somehow tap into a hologram recreation of Janeway from during her trip through it.

At least it's not "Fat Granny" Janeway. Mulgrew's lookin' pretty rough these days. Whoof.
Man, when some people let themselves go, they let themselves REALLY go.

So Janeway is, in fact, an "emergency training hologram."

What year or time period is the show set in? Janeway might be dead by this time.

This is a weird premise for a show.

2383, so five years after Voyager, the real Janeway is almost certainly still alive.
