I bought the original during an eshop sale last year but haven't played it yet. I know some people are mad that there won't be a Nintendo version since the remake to the original was on the 3ds. It's a little surprising they chose to put it on the Xbox instead, but I know several games struggle to run on the Switch and seem to take more effort to optimize for it. A switch port might come down the line, but I'll be buying it for the playsation regardless.

Anyway, this looks pretty interesting. I've been getting into the SMT series in recent years with Persona 3 & 4, Arena, Q, Tokyo Mirage Sessions, Apocalypse and Strange Journey. The battles and exploration seem to be more in line with Persona and Mirage games rather than the original soul hackers. I don't mind but I hear some people don't like this new direction.

Play the Digital Devil Saga games if you can.

I hope Soul Hackers 2 is good, sells well, and opens up the door for more SMT spin offs and revivals.

I love the ability to send demons to scout dungeons and when you find them they might give you items, heal you, get demons to join you, etc.
