The ethics of Batman beating up criminals, is it justified?
There is a rule in this world. You break the law, you go to jail. That's how it works. Especially if you get caught.
Batman takes the law into his own hands and terrorizes criminals and beats them into submission. In their world, they deserve it. These filthy criminal scum kill, rape, murder, steal, and sometimes contribute to mass genocide. In their world these criminals KNOW there's superheroes, and not just cops, so how can you be stupid enough to break the law when you know there are heroes prowling the streets? I love it when Batman pounds their faces in and smashes their skulls into the pavement. He breaks their bones, gives them shattered jaws/arms/legs, and put them in their place. The filthy criminal scum deserve everything that comes to them, and those worthless bastards deserve worse than death. However the criminal system in their world is so poor that often than not they're let back on the streets. While I agree with Batman's no-kill rule, he should still beat them to the point where they can no longer carry out their nefarious deeds. Shattered their legs preventing them from walking, or beat them to the brink of death. Batman deserves to keep the streets clean. What do you think? Is Batman justified? |

Yeah.
Also, I just remembered that you think Cap is the bad guy in Civil War. C'mon, man. |

Yes. Although I'd just break the rule once and kill the Joker at this point. Why does anyone live in Gotham in the first place?
It's also just fun. Comics aren't meant to have real world logic applied to them Last edited by snake; 08-25-2016 at 05:55 PM. |

Im fine with Batman and Superman killing the bad guys. The enemies tried to attempt murder, they got killed in return. Justified and I'm happy with that.
They did good with Man of Steel and Batman v Superman. |

Batman and Superman are vigilantes anyway, they don't need to obey weakass cops that can't even handle these criminals. They do what they think is morally right, and they have the ability and might to do so. What's the law gonna do? They can't do anything.
It's like what Ben Affleck said in Batman v Superman: "We're always depicted as criminals, always was". Who cares, just end the demons. |

Man, I'm glad you don't have superpowers, because you'd be a supervillain with that perception of your abilities.
There's a reason no one likes the Man of Steel Superman, both in-film and out. |

As long you have moral compass like Batman and Superman, I'm sure it'll be fine. It's their family/background that keeps them rooted to the ground. Kill when necessary, never the innocents.
Batman and Superman are still heroes even after they killed the enemies. |

You mean the innocents like all the people Superman killed at the end of MoS?

I don't remember Man of Steel much (only just Supes killing off the main villain at the end) so I can just recall from Batman v Superman beginning segment of city in chaos. You mean where he battled the bad guy and debris and stuff accidentally killed people?

I mean his wanton destruction, yeah. Both during the ending battle, where he pretty much tore Metropolis up, as well as on that street corner earlier in the film. Very negligent.
Also, making Batman a 'bat-brander' was a horrible mistake on Snyder's part. I haven't seen BvS yet, but doesn't he reserve brandings for rapists, pedophiles, child molesters, etc.? That makes him an executioner, because prisoners hate prisoners who hurt kids, and will totally be fine with hurting and killing those types of people. |

Everything about Batman is wrong. His entire reason for being is to protect the rich from the poor.

This is why I'm flabbergasted by cybercubeds alleged alignment with the Democratic party. You were born to be a Republican dawg. It's not sexy, but just own it. Everyone here hates you anyways.

Lots of people vote for who they shouldn't. Also, lots of people align themselves with a party because of family tradition or not thinking enough about it. That's a big flaw of representative democracy. I could never swear loyalty to a single party. However, there are parties I'd never cast my vote for. And CC being a Democrat is a good example of not all left wingers automatically being super tolerant people |
