Now my sister is even questioning if she can even get pregnant again and hold onto it until birth. So it's looking like I won't be an uncle anytime soon. I feel sorry for her because my mom said that she's taking it pretty hard, considering it's her first time.
Sorry to hear that

Scare tactic scams.

FYI... if you or anyone you know (such as older parents) are the gullible type or inclined to react to scare tactics and you end up with some kind of screen like these below DO NOT call that freaking number or give them any info, it is a scam.

Either it's a coincidence or something is hitting Facebook with this crap now, as I got one that looks like the video yesterday (but the voice on mine was a man) and a friend got the other one today. Couldn't get out of that screen, had to use Ctrl/Alt/Delete to kill the process or (in my case) tell the PC so sign out (then removed it from browser history).

In my case I clicked on what looked like a normal post with funny pics, so it can look like something typical and harmless. I scanned immediately and nothing was found, so I don't think there IS a virus, but it wants you to be convinced so that you'll call and give them info so they can hijack your PC.

Quickly forewarned my mom (and this friend!) when I'd gotten it. I know mom prob would talk to me or my sister first, but if dad were still here... oh lord, he'd probably call.

It IS a scam, because that phone number in the first image looks foreign.

I have Windows 11 and I haven't seen this screen.

Someone hacked into my old microsoft account, and used it to buy $8 worth of roblox points on Xbox.

I deleted my account and Microsoft is refusing to refund me for some reason, so I'm glad it was only $8 they spent instead of like...$100.

My card was simply saved to my profile, so they could have literally bought anything. For some reason when I tried to dispute it on Microsoft's site they already rejected it and won't refund me. Kind of annoying, but as said, at least it was only $8.

If it was anywhere from $20-50+ or whatever I would have been pissed. I guess this is a sign not to keep your credit cards saved to your profile.

Ten or so years ago my PlayStation account was hacked and they drained my PlayStation wallet of $50. I talked to PlayStation and they told me that it was hacked and used for making PS purchases, but not a download. So they put the money back on my card and told me to make a stronger password, which I did do. Hasn't been hacked since.

What grinds my gears is addiction. My best friend died yesterday after battling alcoholism his whole adult life. It is suspected that he died from alcohol withdrawal. Alcohol controlled his crazy life and he was always a mess because of it. His favorite turtle was Michelangelo which was a good fit because he lived so recklessly. I feel like there is a deep wound within my spirit. I am having trouble even distracting myself from thinking about him. RIP Andy.

My best friend's dad's best friend died last week because of living a reckless lifestyle. The guy was over 400 pounds, ate like as if every meal was his last, drank heavily, never worked out. He and my best friend's father knew each other since age 13.

Thanks. For some reason the site wasn't letting me comment for a little bit.

Sorry to hear about your friend's dad. My friend was a transient nomad train hopper. The simple life was never good enough for him.

I just got back home from a 2 hour long drive to visit my mom. One thing that grinds my gears is always seeing a whole bunch of dead animals that get hit by cars on the highway. It is so heartbreaking and it just doesn't feel right. This is their world just as much as it is ours. I wish that every highway had fencing along the sides to prevent animals from wondering. Maybe put a gate every half mile just for people to walk through.
