I'm actually surprised TMNT 2014 is generally hated while Guardians of the Galaxy got praised.

I don't think the TMNT 2014 movie was generally hated, There still a lot of people including myself, Who loved it. I'm just not a stickler for the old stuff.

Um no. It's more like people love good movies and hate bad ones. Duh.

If anything the ones that love the tmnt movie is mostly due to the tmnt label slapped on it.

I think you've got that backwards. GOTG was an astounding movie with awesome fight scenes and a coherent plot while the TMNT movie was all over the place. It amazes me how many people loved this movie just because of the TMNT label.

While I do agree that it had a well constructed plot, I thought the fight scenes were pretty weak for an action movie.

But each to their own, I guess.

That's because GotG is a great movie through and through. TMNT 2014 is not.

I still gotta see GotG. Nothing has made me want to see it more than how divided you guys' opinions are over it. Never read the book, don't care about Batista, but the fact that it looks really, really *different* than the other Marvel movies, and how much you guys talk about it, really makes me want to see it. I'm kinda bummed I didn't get it for Christmas.

It's an awesome fun filled movie similar to avengers meets Star Wars. There is no 'divide'. It just seems that way on this forum because the PD sheep are upset that their train wreck of a movie didn't completely dominate it at the box office like they were hoping it would.

The people who disliked the GOTG movie, Are the kinds that are super hardcore comic fans, When they change something in the movie that's different from the comics, They complain. Kind of like some TMNT fans.
