My Walmart never ever has classic TMNT but my local Target always has the storage shells, mutating, giant, and recently villains sets.

It’s too early to tell if these are coming to Target, but the Wingnut wave was at Walmart before it was sold at Target.

Man I wish Playmates will re-release their 5 inch Mirage line without the godawful etching. Those molds are pretty good by itself, probably one of their best work.

There seems to be a running change in paint apps with the more recent releases of Baxter Stockman. Earlier releases had white teeth and recently I have seen blue teeth versions in stores.

Ya, I'm not a fan of the etching being sculpted, either. And it would be nice if there was wrist articulation. Other than that, though, I think they're amazing looking figures, and I'm glad to see someone else that thinks so, as well.

Playmates just keeps getting chintzier and chintzier with their paint apps on these reissues. I still abhor what they did with Bebop more than any of their other reissues.

Man I hope they keep going with this and get into some of the more obscure characters. It's really amazing to go to the store and see OG Playmates figures on the pegs. Granted, they don't always nail the paint and/or accessories but it's still super cool.

I went to Walmart for the first time in years and saw the Movie Star turtles. They don't look half bad! I've got the originals but I was still tempted. I know the accessories are wrong and (I think) they all use the same body but still, those are great figures and it's neat to see them MOC like that.

"Original Sketch Turtles" - Wonder if just maybe these could be the Stranger Things turtles finally busted out individually?

"Remastered Animation Turtles" - No idea what is meant by this, but sounds awful. "Scaled skin"???

But I'm assuming both of these "40th Anniversary Collector Assortment" sets will be along the same lines as what was originally called the "classic collection" and has now been given trench coats.
