Your only argument is "Guns kill peoples!" and yes, when guns are available people use them to commit crimes. You cant ban things that can kill people just because they can kill people. There are about 21k gun crime deaths a year. That is bad. However, we protect ourselves with guns an estimated 500k~3M times a year. Both of us are safe from invasions from other nations because the USA is armed as we can project our power more freely because any other nation would be foolish to try to invade us. That's what the second amendment is for.

Do other countries have great things about them? Yes. I think we could learn a lot on politeness from Japan for instance. People in Japan are only safe because of the USA.

Not for particularly long, no.

I do admire his sentiment, though. I tend to believe what he's saying. He probably did see the assassination attempt and just went, "You know what? F*** it. I'll speak at the RNC and whatever happens, happens."
