This sucks... I had a big wall shelf made for all these guys and there are just enough holes left for the new set... ugh..

He also told me about some other REALLY exciting TMNT product that has been designed (and believe me, when he told me what it was I got *really* excited)... but that it’s really just a matter of timing. He also said they might be looking at other ways to get the stuff out to us by other avenues. I had mentioned the upcoming series Nick has coming, and he responded that might be a good time for them to look at releasing some TMNT goodness again. But for now, TMNT is on hiatus for DST.
They said that about other lines, I think they are cancelled to be honest.

How can it be cancelled when it was never officially announced? It’s more about timing. Right now, no New TMNT movie, the Nick show just finished up. There’s gonna be a lull until that new cartoon comes out.

Cool! Nice box too! But...I'm sort of over mini-mates now?
Decisions, decisions.

These are kinda cool. I have a couple of the original TMNT minimates line. This packaging is nice and I like that they are going for that vintage toy look/style with the figures. Could be tempted but waiting for some preorders to come through first before splashing much more out on ANOTHER set of TMNT...

Saw a guy selling non-collectable/bootleg/unauthorized/whatever mini's at a con several months ago.

Well, it looks like the VHS set (which just got delivered from my Loot pile the other day) was the kickoff to something bigger, because today on Instagram ToyShiz has announced an upcoming box set of five toon-style TMNT Mini-Mates packaged in a box designed to look like a miniature Playmates Turtle Blimp box.

Supposedly preorders will go up tomorrow.

I have every TMNT Mini-Mate released so far except for 2 of the mutagen variants. So this will be tempting.

The blimp set has got Donnie, April, Foot, Shredder, Bebop.

This suggests more to come, at least 3 others I'd bet which each contain 1 turtle plus some allies/foes.

Arcade turtles limited to 1000 pcs, in SNES-cartridge-style packaging.
Cool, but if it's hard/expensive to get for non-con-goers, not interested.

They look nice but not sure we needed yet another set of Turtles. Would have been more fun if it was the vibrant multi-color Foot Soldiers from the games. Packaging is very cool though.

You'll be able to order them on the DST website during the show. I believe Diamond Comics will also make them available to other retailers like www.lukestoystore.com

I doubt we would have done video game Foot soldiers before we did video game Turtles, due to the distinctive paint schemes. As you can see, they are pretty different. And I'm not sure the average con-goer is going to buy a set of Foot soldiers with no turtles on a whim. Seems like more of a web exclusive thing. If the set does well, video game Foot soldiers are possible, of course.
