Stephan "Archon_Turtle" Reese's Art of Nintendo Power: TMNT Tournament Fighter

One time member and hardcore TMNT collector Stephan Reese (Archon_Turtle) has a series called Art of Nintendo Power on YouTube.
I figured I'd share his latest video from the series here as it is related to this forums interest:

He was on the Drome?

I love that guy. Watch his vids all the time. Wonder what made him leave this friendly place?

I guess I should say he used to be an ACTIVE member. He may pop up from time to time.

Stephan is the man. He bought the majority of my SNES collection a while back & even helped pimp some of my art to the Rise team. In my early TMNT fandom days he gave me a lot of helpful insights to art collecting & has been a good buddy since. It's been cool to see his progress with this & his other various collecting endeavors over the years. When he sets his mind to something, he kills it. I admire his drive & passion. He doesn't hop on the boards much anymore for the most part because his generation of users grew out of it & went on to have a life. You know, getting married & having kids took precedence. Practically there myself, now. Life's too short to waste it all on this forum.

I'll never forget the time Stephan asked Rob Paulsen to call me on my birthday one year. I nearly lost it.

Awwwwww! I mean, good for him and all, for reals, but I might'a snagged at least a few had I known in time.

I am forever a day late and a dollar short on these things. I absolutely do not take it personally but the heartache is very real.

It is a tremendous collection.

What kid back in the 1990s could have ever dreamed they would own a piece of the artwork that appeared in their favorite magazine, let alone an extensive gallery!

While it’s none of my business, I just hope he saves some of that insurance money for his daughter. He also sold his entire turtle collection minus some cereal boxes. He was once a great turtle fan or collector.

That was a cool video! I wasn't planning on watching the whole thing, but I did anyway. When shows start returning to my area, I'll be sure to send them your twitter info. I'd love to see some of that TMNT art in person.

For those who haven't seen it, here's the cover to the Genesis version Steve Lavigne did:

I remember TMNT Tournament Fighter, it was a blatant copycat of Street Fighter but it was lots of fun. The artwork seen in the video is amazing! The Leonardo's shining cutter is superb artwork as well as Michaelangelo's dragon breath.

I always felt TMNT Tournament Fighters for the SNES felt like the best of the SNES-original fighting games.

Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat and the SNK games were good (maybe not all the SNK ones) because they were adapting arcades. But all the original SNES ones like Paws of Fury, Shaw Fu, Ballz and Clayfighter were either bad or just OK.

I think the only other awesome non-arcade based fighting game for the SNES besides TMNT was the Power Rangers fighting game and the Japanese Gundam Wing game that was very similar to it.
