Bebop and Rocksteady from the new Show - Page 15

I think it's reused CG aspects. Rocksteady speaking with a Russian accent in every episode? That would be rather disturbing.

Plus this guy looks way too tall, if I remember he was Shredder's height in the episode.

Rocksteady looks short and pudgy, unlike Bebop who matches with his human design shown in this weeks preview.

Who knows man, him becoming short could become an issue for him much like Xever losing his legs when he became a fish man.

I find it funny you guys are so quick to assume this elderly Russian General is Rocksteady. First of all the show reuses CG assets like crazy .

They reused Bradford's armor as Chrome Dome for goodness sakes. They had Spiderbitez human form in the background of the Pizzaface episode. They reused Ick's cat model as a stray alley cat in a different episode.

There is no way this guy is Rocksteady. I severely doubt they want Rocksteady to speak in a Russian accent.

This is the 21st Century, not Cold War US where that type of stuff was used or when Russians were generally always portrayed that way, like in the Rocky & Bullwinkle cartoons with Boris, Natasha, and Fearless Leader. Geez. The US is made of up of a multitude of people with many varying backgrounds. Maybe Rocksteady will be this possibly Russian guy, maybe not. No reason to stereotype.

This and besides, there's an email on the "Official Info" thread that implies Bebop is working for somebody.

Not only that, don't you think it's abnormal for any random person to hire a thief just for a helmet of the Shredder? Only somebody who is associated with the Shredder would know the value of the helmet or would have a particularly good reason for stealing his helmet. This really only leaves Steranko, who's a wealthy enough man to hire a master thief in stealing his helmet. This could be seen as revenge as Steranko never really trusted Shredder, but still was associated with him until after the incident where his shipment of weapons was stolen/destroyed without at least getting his money's worth. This could been seen as an act of revenge for how the Shredder "deceived" him (even though it wasn't intentional, in his eyes, it could be seen that way).

Whoa... I was speculating this myself, that Steranko may be the one that hires Bebop, and then becomes Rocksteady. But now that the pictures are juxtaposed, I can really see it. Especially the knuckles - the left one has a little golden hammer on it in BOTH Steranko and Rocksteady's images, and Rocksteady is using an actual hammer that looks like it. Reminiscent of the hammer and sickle symbol of course.

I don't see anything particularly wrong with having Rocksteady have a Russian accent. The original 80s Rocksteady could have easily been of Russian descent. So now, he'll just have an accent and a different personality.

They may get a little cheesy with him, of course... "I am proud of Mother Russian - we are strong and steady, like rock! There! That will be my name! Rocksteady!"

Could happen.
