And so we continue where our previous page left off. The space Turtles call up their counterparts which remained on earth and find out that a LOT happened.


Among which:
* Super Shredder
* The death of Splinter
* Kavaxas
* The arrival of Lord Dreg


And of course the storyline of my fan comic.


In the previous page, April expressed her worry that there's no longer a place for them in that reality. And as their counterparts relay their accounts of what has been going on, it becomes increasingly clear that they indeed don't.

So, having learned on what they have missed out on during their inter galactical vacation, the space turtles are struggling to come to terms with all of it.


But there's one of them who actually left somebody behind when boarding Fugitoid's ship. And he's now faced with the consequences of that decision.

When the space turtles boarded Fugitoid's ship, they did so with an enthusiasm of a class going on a school field trip. But homesickness is a powerful feeling.


I had the song "Letter from home" by Pat Metheny in mind when making this page.

That picture of Fugitoid's ship came out VERY well, if I do say so myself.

So what did Michelangelo tell the space Turtles to recreate using the replicator as a wedding gift to Leo and Karai?


Well, it could only have been that one thing that Karai was so upset about losing in the beginning of the story when she blew up the lair.

Well, seeing as how 2024 and with it the 40'TH anniversary of the franchise comes to a close, I decided to make something special.


Any true shell head shall recognize the cover art of Kevin Eastman's Raphael special of 1985 here. It's a salute to one of my personal favorite stories of the Mirage series, although with the 2012 series Raph in there rather than his Mirage counterpart.

Time for Kraang Subprime to be sent to prison, in the 1987 Turtles' dimension, and have a family reunion in the process. Of course, Shredder and Krang are perfect hosts to her.


Yeah, this page (and the upcoming pages which take place in that particular dimension) looks a little different. I tried to ape the look of the old Archie series TMNT comic. So, I colored this page with the PC and put some noise over it to nail that comic book look.

As Kraang Subprime settles in, she does what she's best in: SCHEMING, finding a willing participant in somebody who also doesn't appreciate Shredder and Krang's ribbing.


All of it monitored by another transplant from the 2012 world.


Boy, what you see here is actually my second attempt, I had this page all done, ready to go, when a crash of my PC undid all my hard work. So I had to scan the damn thing again and do the whole coloring and lettering over. A shame, since that first one came out so much better.

Okay, this is a panel from a page I drew for my "The full eighty percent" comic, which I rejected, I just couldn't get it together on that one. But the panel itself came out very well, so I'll share it here.


Okay, so the page it was meant for, shows Angel's grand re-opening of her "Rigs 4 Chix" clothing store and Kendra of the "Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles" version of the Purple dragons, vowing that the shop will be robbed very soon. But Xever and Rad Brad, have noticed her, with the former remarking that he recognizes Kendra from the gang ring. At which Rad Brad gives a little nod, he has it covered.


As the models (April, Shinigami and the Tanaka sisters) parade around in fashionable outfits, while displaying some killer Ninja moves. Kendra begins to have second thoughts about her nefarious plan.


At which four Pulverizers, acting as the show's security, show up around her and remark that that would be a very smart move.

Let's be honest, 1987 Raphael isn't the nicest person around, he's sarcastic and constantly delivering jabs even at people who he owes his life to. Time for Master Splinter to say something about that.


This, actually, is my second attempt to do this page, I wasn't satisfied with the first attempt. Since Master Splinter ended up looking more like a fox, rather than a rat, and the Turtles themselves didn't look like the 1987 Turtles. So I scrapped that page and completely redrew it.

Okay, so the Eighties'Turtles have been given Spyroach tech from their 2012 counterparts, but that tech is only as good as the one who uses it. Or under what circumstance it is used.


Unfortunately, Michelangelo chose a very poor moment to try out a system which prevented another burned pizza in the oven.


I was watching my old "Viva La Bam" DVD's and there's a season one episode called "Scavenger hunt" where the crew is sent out to do some ridiculous tasks. Among which was "Give somebody a wedgy" And Bloodhound Gang lead singer Jimmy Pop insisted on getting an Atomic wedgy, that is, the underpants over his head. It inspired the dialog here.

Fate isn't on the eighties' Turtles' side here. Having their opportunity to listen in on Kraang Subprime's plans thwarted unintentionally by Mikey. But then Baxter Stockman brings forth a perfectly sensible way to enhance what Kraang Subprime wants to do, which offers the Turtles a second chance to listen in.


Only for history to repeat itself again.

Third time's the charm, time for diligence to start paying off.


But actually finding out what Kraang Subprime and Baxter Stockman are planning isn't really easing anybody's mind here.


It's difficult to make the eighties version of Stockman look menacing, but I think I pulled it off.

We never got any indications otherwise, but it's safe to assume that the eighties Turtles ever saw a girl naked. But with this girl being Kraang Subprime who was very extensively "Welcomed" by the Tanaka sisters, I doubt that would be a sight they'd wish they could unsee.


I didn't want to make this scene too gory, but only a hint of the damage visible to be unsettling enough.


Yeah, the healing machine, straight out of "Dragon Ball Z" I even had Kraang Subprime mention planet Sadla, which was the planet of the Saiyans before they invaded what became Planet Vegeta.

As the eighties Turtles get to grips with the reality they're faced with, back in the 2012 dimension the dust has finally settled. But Mikey isn't his usual zany self, something which Renet notices straight away.


GLAD to be back drawing in my usual way, those pages of the eighties Turtles were such a PAIN to make.

So what got Mikey's shell all in a knot? At some urging from Renet, he finally lets it all out.


I first heard about something called "Quarter life crisis" in the John Mayer's song "Why Georgia, why?" The Lyrics very accurately describing what it is. So I used that song as inspiration behind this venting scene that Mikey here.


Hey, I'm almost fifty, and I also go "Where did my teen years go?" I guess we all get that sometimes.


Mikey's rant continues, and he spews his bile over the fact that everything he knew in life happened for the last time.


Luckily, Renet being a time master, knowing a thing or two about ... TIME... She decides to grant Mikey his FIRST time.


Yeah, my comic DOES have some fan service throughout, and with Renet being this incredibly curvy and busty girl, I decided to put her in such a scene, although still in a tasteful manner.

Okay, time to start a new chapter and in order for me to do so, I had to do some reworking on my original concept for Leo and Karai's daughter Yoko.

She had to have nods to both her parents, My original intention was for her to wear a red bandana, but a blue one would have been more fitting as it is Leo's color. The fact that she wields two blades also is a clear nod to her dad.


Looks wise, she's very much her mom's daughter, but I simplified the outfit somewhat, gone are the hip protectors and leather boots are replacing Karai's "Tabi" shoes and metal leg protectors.


Quite pleased with how she turned out.

And so we take a jump in time, and we end up 16 years later, the now teenage Yoko is attending high school. But the arrival of a new student gets her uniform all in a knot, why?


I changed Yoko's look from the concept sketches even more, I for example was never satisfied with her hair. This revision also makes her look like Tang Shen.

"Gator Tooth Top Gear" is a play on "Dragon Ball Grand Tour" while also spoofing the motoring shows "Top Gear" and "Grand Tour"

If that classroom looks familiar, it should, the fact that the kids address their teacher as "Sakamoto-sensei" also is a big clue to what series I'm referencing to. "Kinpachi Sensei" But if you guys go "That doesn't look like Takeda Tetsuya!" I know, because it's Sakamoto Furiwake, aka Takamisakari Seiken, a Former Sumo wrestler, who appears in a hilarious spoof of the series called "Furiwake sensei" which is well worth looking up.

Picking up where we left off with the previous page. What ruffled up Yoko's feathers?


Yeah, seeing what is very obviously a Karai clone show up in her classroom is a very valid reason.

Well, as is very evident, I've been updating my story on an almost daily basis, heh, what can I say, I'm inspired.


Every high school has bullies, and Japanese high schools aren't any different in that aspect. Heck, in many animes, the mean girl is an essential part of the plot.


For this mean girl I was inspired by Azumanga Daioh's strong, tall and silent girl Sakaki. But reimagined her to be brash, mean, and loud.


I'm pretty sure that everybody familiar with Japanese culture knows about Senpai and Kohei hierarchy, which again is an important part in Anime series.

Senpai or not, Yoko is focussed on her mission and resorts to pushing a pressure point to get the school bully out of her way.


Terada came out way better looking than in the previous page. And for those who are wondering, fifteen thousand Yen, is around a hundred Dollars.
