I haven’t seen an Ace Duck reissue without a trading card. Was it released in 1995 or early 1996 as part of the original Playmates toy line? It could have been a 1998 to 1999 re-release. I can’t find either version of that Ace Duck on Worthpoint (database for slightly dated eBay sales).

I never knew that Ace Duck re-release variant existed. It’s not anywhere else online, to the best of my knowledge. Interesting find.

Most of figures with trading cards only are dated 1994. So, it's obvious that combo (card+coin) should be either just before, or right after that issue. But yet again, why then coined cardbacks are dated '92-94? |

But that doesn't clears my question.
Reissues were issued mostly since 1992. And I still don't get it (but I'm not quite familiar with American distribution scheme, especially with exclusive distribution in chain stores). You told: Blue cardbacks - Early summer 1993, but they are dated 1992-93. Purple cardback/no card no coin/punch tab- Mid to late 1994, but again some are dated 1993. Purple cardback/magenta bricked trading card/punch tab/2nd half of 1994 Purple cardback/purple trading card that matches cardback/hang tab-1994 - these both are clear! Purple cardback/card & coin/hang tab-1995/1996 - that's the main question! They are dated 1992-1994, but I don't get 2 things:
So why does coined figures dated earlier than carded, but were distributed later (in 1995-96)? Was that really so?! Purple cardback/purple warning label on top left (Walmart)-1996 - that's clear for me again, although cardbacks are dated 1995, not '96. There might be just shift in supply |
