Is Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & Other Strangeness canon to the Mirage TMNT?

So I have heard of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & Other Strangeness and its basically a RPG Book of some powers and abilities.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Teenag...er_Strangeness

Here it states that its based off the Mirage TMNT but I always question if whether the TMNTAOS is canon or at least close source material to it.

With 3 Questions I shall question yall

1. Is the TMNT RPG Books such as Strangeness canon to the Mirage or been noted for close material to the Mirage?
2. Has it been considered as separate continuity?
3. Is the TMNT & Other Strangeness Universe part of the TMNT Multiverse?

I think the short answer is no.

I'm pretty sure none of the characters introduced by it reappear in the comics nor are any of the events ever referenced. I'm pretty sure the premise of the RPG is that a bunch of of animal mutants are running around, which is probably the biggest indicator that it is not canon, seeing how canonically only six mutants exist and most of the world is unaware of them. There is also the probability that Palladium has absolute copyright to the game, seeing how references have been made to it in the franchise but in modified form, think Captain Marvel and Marvelman. And indeed, the game turned into "After the Bomb", with no direct ties to TMNT aside from some illustrations by Mirage staff. That said, the rulebooks do indeed include some comic book pages Mirage and IDW would end up reprinting, which don't contradict the official canon comics as far as I can tell.

A kind of interesting factoid is that Kevin Eastman claimed Bebop and Rocksteady were introduced in this game, not created for the toyline or the Fred Wolf show. That isn't entirely accurate but there are illustrations that are very similar to those characters.

That RPG was the first introduction to TMNT for IDW TMNT's Sophie Campbell.

There's a Supplement for it called After The Bomb.

Its pretty influential since its been referenced in other medium.

There's another supplement as well, based in Australia. I have the main two books, and I believe there was a fourth, but I can't recall what was in that one.

I say it is minus the ways that it obviously can't be. And these are mostly where they intersect with their larger "Rifts" thing.

This was the first turtle media out there so even if it wasn't mirage canon, it has many influences because the only thing TMNT that existed back then was mirage so obviously it was going to have many similarities.

How has the RPG influenced the series? I can only think of the post apocalyptic future of 2012 and the current run of the IDW comic allegedly. That's not much of an impact. But from what I know people who liked RPGs did love the game, which is why it continued even after they lost the TMNT license.

Is there any site that has a summary of the "lore" of the RPG? I'd be interested in reading more of it besides the few synopsis.
