I can only hope these models were used for more than one episode. Maybe Season 5 will have another crossover appearance.

WTF was up with that 2D animated section and there already doing the same jokes from Turtles Forever. You would think the writers and producers would be smart enough to know that the old fans who will be tuning into this had to have watched Turtles Forever and they would try to avoid old shtick. I'm now not regretting my decision of dumping this show in the second season.

There is a difference in how they're going about it this time around. Note how instead of putting the FW TMNT into a net and dragging them across town (like the 4Kids TMNT did), the Nick TMNT actually explain why they keep their identities a secret. The 4Kids TMNT were never good at talking things out, sadly.

Maybe it's going to decanonize Turtles Forever? Especially if the OT Turtles end up expressing surprise at seeing another group of Turtles.

going by the one scene we have seen of their first interactions, the 87 turtles don't seem too surprised.

Its just too bad this is only 22 minutes, it needed to be a 2-part episode to have decent runtime.

I couldn't really care less. I am so burned out on 87 stuff, I just can't care. if it was something like Nick meets Mirage, then we can talk.

It still needed to be a 2 parter.

true, it should have been a 2 parter. But at least it's a lot better than the "cameo" that we got a couple years ago

Apparently Mirage is going to be getting at least a cameo. Hopefully we'll be getting more but kinda doubt it. At least not yet

Wow, the 2D animation looks really bad.

Cool, did you find it at this resolution or up-res it?

Yeah, I was thinking that too. Less so the Nick Turts, whose simple line design works with 2-D as well as 3-D, but...wow the OT designs are jarring.

I like them when they get to the 3-D world, until I get to their eyes. There's something unsettling about their eyes, and I can't put my finger on what.

Perhaps it's suppose to be intentional as a joke? I mean the animation in the 80's show wasn't all that perfect in various episodes. Or am I reaching too much?

It looks like they made it in Flash and didn't even try. If you're going to do an OT crossover, shouldn't you at least make it clear that this is the OT visually?

Thank god someone is agreeing with me, I think the main reason is that they are perfect circles with tiny pupils lacking iris. It looks fine in 2D but it doesn't work in 3D.
