Article: Millennials are tanking the entertainment industry

We, the Millennials, our generation....are killing the entire entertainment industry! Our parents are shaking their heads in shame.

Millennials are destroying the world, and probably the universe, apparently.

How do you kill paper napkins... do they have a napkin app instead? Wipe their faces on their phone? Don't they still need paper napkins when they go to McDonald's? I doubt McDonald's is switching to cloth. Wait... they're killing McDonald's with their promiscuousness. Somehow. Ah, so by killing a fast food giant they are hurting the paper napkin market. Gotcha.

Agreed. Although, it doesn't help that Michael Bay's trash keeps getting @$$loads of cash despite being so hated...Seriously, what happened to boycotting...??

It's like Baby Boomers think we've hiveminded and decided to not partake in these things.

Not like we need most of them. Golf is usually played by superrich old guys and wastes gallons of water to keep their courses green in places where they shouldn't. We don't drive because we can't afford cars and prefer to carpool, which is why Über is booming (I personally hate driving from an eco-minded and focus perspective). Paper napkins, wasteful. I guess cloth napkins are coming back? What does promiscuity have to do with McDonalds losing business? Is it not being more aware that they're terrible...not just because their food is unhealthy, but because employees tend to have horrible experiences while struggling to pay their loans and bills.

Entertainment Industry? Hack production jobs and blaming the viewers for deciding to put their money elsewhere.

Millennial is such an arbitrary classification. How can someone born in 2000 belong to the same generation as someone born in 1981? Someone born in 1981 had to go through their first 15-20 years of life without browsing the internet daily whilst someone born in 2000 doesn't remember life before facebook, twitter and youtube.

It seems people basically associate millennials with selfies and social network obsession, but I see older people, including middle aged people obsessing over social media as well.

I personally think baby boomers are a pretty interesting generation.

People born 97-onward are ruining everything.

The youngest person in my circle was born in 1995, I think. Someone born in 1997 is 18-19 year olds today. A bit too young still to "ruin everything", I'd say.

Anyway, being born in a certain time period doesn't necessarily make you a member of said generation or movement. I was born in 1990 and I don't understand or am I aware of lots of things people born 1990 and onward like/do.

What's a Millenial again? Someone born in the late 90s, early 2000s?

That aside I doubt anyone is ruining anything.

The entertainment industry is just struggling to adjust to new technology. The internet has changed the entertainment landscape - it's not the millennials' fault, it just coincided with their coming of age.

Generations are stupid anyway. No one can agree on when they start and finish.

Of course this could only be a CyberCubed thread..... I don't think it is the millenials killing everything, it has been going on since the Baby Boomers generation.

If anyone's killed anything, it's the Boomers.
