Kind of surprised we're getting a "Best of Nobody" here. I thought for sure they were going to contrive a "Best of Pigeon Pete" or "Best of Pizza Face" before they got to more characters actually worthy of anyone's attention.
Spoiler:
Though to be totally serious, it is kind of surprising that we are getting Nobody before Renet or Fugitoid, especially considering how the latter's debut issue does deserve more reprints. |

I don't know who on earth is buying those "best of" trades given they keep making them. Who wants to read random issues out of order from a mix of Mirage, IDW and Archie? Like those whole trades are redundant and have no reason to exist.
Now the Mirage Vol. 2 collection there is great and I hope they go on to do another Image collection and then we finally get Vol. 4 collected for the first time. |

So I guess Donnie got a metal shell and he's also lost his mind? He looks... mind-broken.

Donnie's had a metal shell since Bebop and Rocksteady broke his original shell.

But it looked like a normal shell for a very long time, until someone decided that it didn't. I can't even remember if an outer layer was peeled off or anything, I think it just started to look different with no explanation.

I thought they cloned a new shell for him. I don't remember any mention of it being metal back then.

I just looked it up to be sure. It is not cloned, it's explicitly "built". However, it looks like a normal shell and the material it's made of is not mentioned. It stated that ooze was used to fuse the shell to him and that the would will be healed. Whatever it's made of, I doubt the intention was for it to be metal and it might have been something intended to look and feel as close to a real shell as possible.

I forgot the first Vol. 2 tpb's from IDW were re-colored, they even made the Triceraton that followed them blue for some reason (despite being brown)

I think the Volume 2 recoloring was a bit of a mixed bag. There were plenty of pages that I thought actually looked better than the single issues, but there were just as many where the colors looked worse, or were just wrong (as in the case of the blue triceraton). Regardless, it will be nice to have them all in one book, and in hardcover no less.
