Volume 4 lot going for how much!?
Um... is this one of you guys? I highly doubt these are worth anywhere close to these. You can buy them from Mirage's website for like a quarter of this price. Am I missing something?

Let the market decide. If you want it $375's worth, go for it. (But I sure as hell wouldn't.)

It's not uncommon to list things for a ridiculous price that you don't expect anyone to pay, and just let people make offers through the best offer function. It's also worth noting that the vast majority of the value is in #25-#28.

Man I'm almost tempted to sell my Volume 4 collection for that price, but the lack of trades confirmed from IDW prevents me from doing that.

I always price things a little higher when offering best offer so I have some room to negotiate. I also usually price things higher on ebay because of fees. Those could be two of the factors. (It's not my listing).
However, I sold my complete run (1-32) some months back for $900 (minus 10% for fees), so this price isn't too insane. But that included #29, easily the rarest and most sought after issue of the run, which isn't included here. |

I think the guy is asking a fair price; it's just not something I would pay. I'm a family man, it'd be totally irresponsible of me to pay that much for those.

Yes, issues 29, 30, 31, and 32 and possibly a few others not found on the Mirage website, but the post I shared has only up to issue #28 and it's missing 2, 14, and 20.

I mean, I don't know for sure; I don't do floppy single issues. But based on the times I've considered collecting the single issues... they're freaking pricey.

that's to be expected when dealing with Ebay.
wether he/she actually accepts reasonable offers is a whole other thing? i've had things listed at $150 to $200 , and have had people make me offers for them such as $20 or once even $2 i kid you not!!! there are too many bottom feeders out there!

#25 and #26 are pretty steep as well.

This is why I use the auto decline option in my listings!

Well darn guys. I guess I should sell my consecutive 1-29 for like $450? One is signed and has a turtle drawn by Peter Laird. I'm not joking. Is that a reasonable price?

Sounds like it's not too far from reasonable.

That is way below the market price in my opinion.
Issue #29 on its own was sold for that price on eBay a few months ago (bidding, no fixed price). Issues 25-28 are hard to find at a cheap price. A guy is selling them at a starting price of 5$ on eBay, we'll see how much they sell for. |

When I see how much this is going for, it almost makes me want to sell mine... #1-28 and then two copies each of 29-32 with various signatures on each one... But then I think, IDW isn't going to get to any sort of trades for a good long while and decide not to sell...

I would venture to say that the books on the Mirage site are actually underpriced. It's really the only place to get many of those books that cheap these days. The books listed there have been at the same prices for what, 10 years now?
It's the books that are sold out on Mirage's site that tend to fetch high prices on ebay. Even mini series like Leonardo Blind Sight. |
