I feel defeated today, not sure why I am posting that on a Public TMNT website but this is the thread for it. Just things going on and stuff to fix (everyone has this), sometimes you just stop and feel down, whine about it (this post) and then get on and sort things out, which I will be starting shortly.

Hey, no worries. It's healthy to let that out. Hell, I feel that way at least twice a week.

So, it's been a really, really long time since I've poked in (busy with another fandom and getting away from the tense atmosphere here), but I might as well come in with some updates on my life.

Basically that I'm working two jobs now and am returning to college in January!

I'm going to Texas Woman's University and getting my BFA.

Also, everyone's moved out of the childhood home and it's been sold to new owners. Right now, I'm living with family friends until I get to Denton for school.

My grandpa is really old and was admitted to the hospital the other day. I was just talking to my dad about it on the phone but he had to hang up because he started crying when he was telling me they had my grandpa in restraints or something. Grandpa is practically blind and deaf.
I googled it and learned that is something going down in hospitals lately to delirious patients due to all the co-vid stuff. Pretty inhumane. It's not like I have a better solution to offer, but I also an boiling with frustration and rage over it. Anyways, it was just really hard to hear, from the information itself to my dad cracking like that.
It's just been non-stop problems for a while, honestly. I'm venting, but hopefully not too much. I mean, there is no way I am the only one here who has had to deal with something like this anytime recently, right?

Sorry to hear that, it is really hard to face things like family members suffering severe disease, which cause the whole family members feel sad.

When I had a kid, I understand my parents more. When things like this happened, the only thing to do is stay united and support each other, and pray to god to show mercy.

Good words. Sticking together with loved ones is probably the best solution to the pain.

This thread was made in 2003. They should change the title to, "The OLD Cafe."

I was still in High school when this thread was made, hell I wasn't even registered to the forums yet. This makes me feel old.

Today, five people had passed away from a hot air balloon accident. The horrific incident had occurred in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

It's such a tragedy. My condolences are with the loved ones of the deceased.

I guess I'll always be afraid of air flight.
