Merry Christmas everyone

Yep. Another holiday season is here. Have fun tomorrow and on Monday everyone.

Will you be doing anything special? Not me. Just two other normal days.

Shredder and Krang combined had the biggest arsenal of any villains in all of the cartoons.

Merry Christmas!

My parents are flying into town tomorrow and we're picking them up at the airport. We will be having a lot of "junk food" for Christmas eve and day. By junk food I don't mean candy and things like that. But a lot of finger food that are chicken and fish related. Also having a cake to celebrate the Savior's birthday. All this is pretty much a tradition from my wife's side of the family that I'm more than happy to make our own.

Two normal days for us as well. We pretty much stopped celebrating altogether a number of years ago. A combination of jaded cynicism & lacking funds. I can still appreciate the seasonal festivity at times though, depends on my mood. I'll have some cocoa & candy canes, throw on a Sinatra Christmas album, etc. One tradition I don't break either way is my yearly viewing of We Wish You A Turtles Christmas, which I did on Wednesday.

All the same I hope everybody here finds this last chapter of 2017 a pleasant one!

We never decorated at mom's house, first for being busy, second because we're having it at my grandmother's.

After that, I have no idea what is going on.

Fun? That doesn't exist this weekend when you work in a store. But just one more to go... Phew. The only plus is that Sunday shifts are always early for me so I'll at least be out within the afternoon and get to enjoy Christmas eve at home.

Nothing to crazy here. Just the typical Christmas morning gifts, hang out at home, and prob get Chinese for dinner. (And keeping fingers crossed that a potential cold bugs off and doesn't really happen... )

Though did get my wish of having the day after Christmas off for once.

Midtvinternatten er kald.
Det slår gnister fra stjernene over.
Øde ligger en bondegård.
Alle der inne sover.
Månen går i sin krets der bak;
hvit lyser sneen på trær og tak;
hvit ligger eng og åker
Bare en nisse våker.

Merry Yule

Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it, to those who don't, if you get the holiday off work then enjoy whatever you will do with that time.

I will meet up with my sisters and other family members tomorrow before trying to sneak presents downstairs later on when the children are in bed.

I was lucky this year- it fell on a Monday after I get my usual weekend off, and they are closing the store for Christmas day, so I get a three-day weekend! YAY!!! Currently sitting in my jammies listening to my Holiday Mix playlist- Up now is Trans Siberian Orchastra's rendititon of the "Carol of the Bells", aka "Christmas in Sarajevo" followed by Bing's famous version of "White Christmas". LOVE that song! Might make some hot cocoa in a few, and going to watch the TMNT 4Kids Christmas Aliens episode. That and watching White Christmas (the movie) are my main traditions. Not much decorating this year, but I did at least put up my little mini tree (instead of the big one I usually decorate) and a wreath on the door and some bells and a small Christmas lantern outside on my patio.

All this stupid snow is ruining my Christmas!! Parents' flight got cancelled. Hopefully the new one will get through.

Most of my life I lived in Southern Arizona where we didn't have to deal with snow except once every 5 years or so. Now that we live in Indiana snow is a forgone conclusion every winter...

Well send some my way, would you? Texas hardly ever even sees any! I'd love a white Christmas (or Solstice, preferably) for once.

Now wait, didn't TX get some recently? Not in you guys' neck of the woods though?

Wouildn't mind a white Christmas, very rare around here as well despite not being in the south, but after that storm that gave snow to the south gave us a few inches here for the first snowfall...and in total it snowed three times in that week... I'm read for spring. lol

No matter the weather though, hope everyone has a great Christmas/Solstice/Yule/Monday.

Not that I'm aware of. Maybe up in the panhandle or around the Red River (Oklahome border), but nothing south of Greyson and Cooke counties, for certain. Sadly, what passes for "snow" here is most often slush, ice, or freezing rain/sleet. And it's gone in hours, more often than not.
