Salman Rushdie stabbed with a knife in New York
India-born writer Salman Rushdie was attacked and stabbed by a man with a knife when delivering a speech in Chautauqua, New York. He was taken to Pennsylvania in a helicopter, while the police arrested one man for the attack. The attacker's motivation is still unknown.

Someone did actually tweet "You're next" to her, so... y'know.
Various "activists" have posted her personal address online more than once with thinly-veiled threats attached, so it's not like there aren't people so mad at her they'd want her dead. Because she said "people who menstruate are called Women". What a raging intolerant bitch who totally deserves people threatening her life.  I don't give a single f*ck about Harry Potter but I like Rowling more and more as a person every time she says something on Twitter that gets a certain cult of loons all aggravated. Plus, she has an awesome rack for an older broad. Anyway, ever since Dimebag Darrell I think any time a person publicly threatens a famous person it's worth looking into and not just shrugging off. It's only "just talk" until someone actually gets killed, and by then it's too late. Darrell wasn't even the first time something like that happened.
