Ray Fillet song
Besides being a cartoonist, I also write goofy songs. This month, I embarked on a "February Album Writing Month" challenge to write 14 songs in the month of February! The very last one I finished (and the first one I started) was an homage to Ray Fillet/Man Ray from which I come at it in the comic-book-nerdiest way possible.
You can check it out here: http://fawm.org/songs/17056/ I'm gonna release a more-properly-mixed version on an album (also called "Ray Fillet") next month. I hope y'all like it! |

Do more! Assuming those are your vocals, you've got a real Weird Al Yankovich vibe! Also, I absolutely need to see your drawing of Ray published in issue #5 (assuming it's real, of course)!

Let me see if I can find that issue 5 somewhere. I also had a drawing of Jagwar printed in issue 16! Lol. Mind you, these are awful drawings... |

But issue 5 was the intro to Ray Fillet...so that can't be right....
Great song.

Catskill, NY? That's gotta be one of the best names for a hometown ever! Right up there with Skullbone, TN and Bucksnort, TN.
You drew him pretty good! Very few kids tried to employ shading in those fan art submissions, and you actually used it quite effectively!

Hey, I always liked how the Fan Art staff planned that showcase of art in Issue #14! It was really cool to see each character represented by a different artist and superimposed onto a custom designed background. Rarely did a fan art page leave me so impressed as that one!
Also, do you have a link where I could download your song (assuming you want people to do that, of course)?

You better believe it! It's a bit reminiscent of John K (which, I'd rather not get into how greatly that disturbs me), but not so much that I can't appreciate it. This would make great art for a MM parody comic (ala Hedden & McWeeney's TMNT comics). ^_^ Might that have been your intention?
