I was just glad to see that Walmart was selling the standalone DVD (Walmart Exclusive). I was irritated when I saw it wasn't being sold like that (Region 1) on DVD according to Amazon and Walmart's website. But when I saw the DVD in the store I had to buy it.

I enjoyed the film for sure, although I really didn't care for the design of the turtles (though certainly still better than Rise).

Damn I just finally watched this

I thought it was actually pretty good, I really enjoyed it. I laughed out loud quite a few times

It was weird that they thought it would be too complicated to explain that the Turtles come from a different universe than Batman but whatever, that was one of my few gripes.

It's pretty great. One of my favorite TMNT things to come out in a long while.

This movie came out 3 years ago, I guess the dream for a sequel is dead, especially since the figures weren't hot sellers. A shame, I didn't care for the team up of Batman with the turtles but it was great seeing someone new animate the turtles for a change and they did a great job at it.

Since this was done in 2019 for the 35th and 80th anniversaries of the properties, maybe we'll see something more in 2024.

Is there anywhere with DVD sales, since that would've been what was looked at for deciding if a sequel was worthwhile to produce?

May be the the fault of making them pricey, dual franchise 2-figure sets, imo. I wouldn't have minded having that Leo figure, IF I had known a big Batman fan who'd want to split the cost. Couldn't justify paying that price tag when I didn't really have any interest in the DC figures and don't doubt that feeling is mutual for some DC fans.

If they weren't so pricey, I would get the Leo and Batman figures. I take it you're not a fan of Bats?

Holy cow, that secondary market really did spike in a hurry, didn't it? I remember right around the time the world was ending in March 2020, Gamestop was selling these off at big clearance prices. I might even own two sets of Leo/Shredder.

I'd looked at eBay now and then for that Leo sold alone, hoping some Batman fans were looking to sell him and get half their money back, but of course it was always at a markup so one figure was still about the retail price of that box or worse. I remember how a couple of the sets were a lot cheaper online after a while, but of course the Leo one never was.

Eh, Batman is cool and all, but in a causal non-fandom way and don't have any personal attachment to him or anything DC.

Any news of a sequel to this?

This was one of the few TMNT films I've liked this decade.

No news, and I doubt they'll do anything with it at this point.

It's a shame because I absolutely loved this incarnation of the TMNT (the Batman characters I was mostly 'meh' on save for Damian and Barbara).
