Rocksteady got the hots for April in the OT episode "Green With Jealousy". I don't know if you can count it as "legit" since he was under the effect of a love potion though.

That's not why the word is used, it's used to show a close but not romantic relationship between guys of any sexual orientation. Gay guys can have bromances too.

'nuff said right from the start. Also, I would probably be naked too if I lived on an eden planet, presumably eating mushrooms all day

I wouldn't be naked even if I lived on a planet with no other humans and only animals. I wouldn't want to sleep on dirty grass or rocks and get bugs all over me. Even cavemen wore animal skins for this reason.

Keep in mind though that Bebop and Rocksteady are mutated animals, not humans. If I were a humanoid Pomeranian, I'd probably strut around in nothing but my Spider-Man boxers all day long.

It'd be great. I mean, I guess I'd probably have to resort to clothing at some point, lacking mutant animal skin. But, it could be doable given that the eden planet had some kind of continual perfect climate.

What are you talking about? Bebop and Rocksteady are mutated humans. They're not animals; they're animalistic.

I am almost positive none of this was intentional but the idea of them running around their own private Eden always struck me as homoerotic.

In the original cartoon and Archie comics they were both. They even discussed it in the beginning of #25 how their human selves fused with their animal counterparts.

Um, that may be in the Archie comics, but I'm pretty sure they were just 100% mutated in the cartoon. Not "fused."

No, it was also that way in the cartoon. There's even an episode where they comment on the zoo they came from before being mutated.

Well, whenever David Wise wrote an episode it was definitely way more tolerable. I'm pretty sure he never any of those stories with the kooky mad scientists and all the other horse-sh*t they recycled.

Bebop and Rocksteady are humans. The mutation probably gave them "animal instincts" but they were always human in every incarnation.
Their origin in Archie is exactly the same as the original toon since Archie adapted the first season of the cartoon in comic form. |

I don't know about Archie Bebop and Rocksteady, but IDW B & R just f*cked Donnie pretty hard.

Seeing as there is noone else to mate with, except each other, on the entire freakin planet, they'd eventually have to. Unless Cherabeu was kind enough to dump a few ladies for them on weekends or something.
