Sadly it looks like both are going to at least be semi permanent fixtures of TMNT designs at this point. That is very disappointing as neither are popular design choices at all.

I'm kinda surprised they went full on with the colour coding with their pads. That was another thing I thought for certain we'd seen the last of. Although I will give credit that they don't have the rags that have been present on Nickledeon's designs since 2012. One slight step forward two massive leaps back.

Also anyone think they look kinda young here. I know they have been beating us over the head with how this version they are focusing on the teenage aspect of the characters but here they look like pre-teens. Like they even younger than that Half Shelled Heroes special they did.

Here's a zoomed up version of the turtles, a little blurry, But it looks like they are going with a bit of the FW style, And I'm fine with that.

On closer inspection we don't know if all the turtles have the initialised belt buckles as we can see Leo's since he's at the front and maybe it's just me but the little we see Raphael's looks a different design. As dumb as the initials on the belt buckles are only one having it would be weird...like if the purpose isn't to help the audience identify each turtle what's the point? It also looks like Leo has a proper belt buckle next to the one with the L on it. So it doesn't even serve an in-universe purpose to keep his belt fastened.

These designs are... fine? I guess? Standard as far as Turtles designs go, a hell of a lot more appealing than what Platinum Dunes had to offer, but still not what I would've went with personally.

Michelangelo looks like a nightmare and Donnie's glasses and Raph's overhead bandana are pretty stupid. Those things aside, the designs look alright. My biggest problem with them is their heads. They make the entire thing look rather babyish.

Woooo, not a good first impression from me. Designs aren’t everything but I like things to make sense and I can’t make sense of an initial on a belt buckle. The Fred Wolf cartoon is entertaining on some level as a goofy comedy show, and so it’s fine there, but I’m not interested in that at all anymore, so this may not be for me.

The tone could surprise me, but this looks like it’s aimed at children. It’s not that I could never get behind a comedy driven version of tmnt, but I can’t get behind a comedy version of tmnt aimed at children. It’d have to be something a little more bold.

Really unfortunate, in a sense. If they were releasing something aimed at the MCU/DC crowd right now, in the vein of The Last Ronin, everyone in those communities would be talking about it. It’s proven that the teenage and adult crowd will still get behind the brand. They made The NY Times Best Seller list. And this is what they have to show off to movie fans. Gummy bears.

I guess I’ll look forward to the inevitable animated adaption of The Last Ronin. I just hope it gets a decent production budget.

While I like Leo, I think Mikey looks far too like a Nick Jr. design, Donnie needs to drop the glasses and ENOUGH of the full cap bandana for Raph.

I actually do like the full colored arm bands and knee pads like the '87 show, but we'll see how it looks more with new reveals.

Not a great first impression, but alas ... seems to be the theme these days for any new interpretation for a movie/tv show.

Really not too bad, I like the different skin tones, but I wish they each had different colored knee and elbow pads. I guess Raph is stuck with the do-rag from now on? Three different series in a row gave him a do-rag. And Don with the glasses? I rather he had goggles.

Now the voices is what we should be concerned about, as they are going to be voiced by actual teens, instead of professional voice actors.

It's way too basic, almost looks like a mobile game. Can't believe I'm gonna say this but I actually prefer Rise designs over those bland turtles.

I have always thought Dooney’s original style guide art for the 4Kids turtles is peak toon turtle design. Colored masks and skin tone variations but otherwise sleek and minimal accessories.

Knowing Seth, she will probably be black again, or maybe she will be white but with a short lopsided haircut and a flat chest. If both of my guesses are wrong, then color me surprised.
