Feeling beach-bummed that your body isn’t “bikini-ready” for Memorial Day? Don’t sweat it.

Retail data company EDITED reports that the number of bikini styles offered online has dropped 9%, while one-piece models have spiked 20%.

And single-piece swimsuits – sometimes called “monokinis” – are selling out three times faster than they did at this time last year, with figure-flattering and tummy-controlling designs moving the fastest, followed by traditional, round-neck suits.

“The one-piece has made an explosive comeback this year. It’s not surprising due to current trends and our quest for comfort – and retailers are capitalizing on this growth with a bevy of flattering and daring styles for 2017,” Emily Bezzand, head analyst at EDITED, told Moneyish.

Running at a not-too-close second is border pal Mexico, with 32.4% of population considered obese, followed by New Zealand, Hungary and Australia (the U.K. comes in at No. 6). The skinniest nations are Japan, with a tiny 3.7% of the population tipping the scales, followed by India, Korea, Indonesia and China. And across much of Europe, less than 20% of the population can be considered obese, according to the survey that was released Thursday.

I know a friend of mine is planning to use a one piece this year.

Either way, I know the percentage of fat is set to rise regardless in another few years. At this point though, threads like this are just "Oh, cool" or turn into bickering. Nothing to it anymore, burnout setting in.

I actually just went to the beach recently and it had been a while since I had gone anywhere and notice that the new trend was "cheeky" bikini bottoms, It had been a few years since I'd gone swimming but I was surprised how this had somehow become "normal" in the last few years. No problem from my part, the cheekier the better, it was weird seeing this trend that apparently has been going on for a while and became socially acceptable when ten years ago it was still seen as not appropriate while they're all worn like it's just a normal bikini. I guess it was the same when normal bikinis began appearing in beaches but eventually they became accepted.

I've also noticed that one piece bathing suits are not like the ones I sued to know, they're not very modest as they show quite a bit of side boob. So they're not really being born because of modesty, just to be different. I mean many are just bikinis that are connected. Here are some examples:
