Okay, that's less stupid.

Wow. Okay. If that's what we're doing, then all aboard.

Looks great. I have to say, I'd welcome this series as an on-going, whereas I am hanging on to the current IDW on-going by a thread.

I mean, for those of you who didn't like the armor twist, I don't really see how this makes it less stupid. Revealing that the host body is Karai's daughter doesn't really change the last issue's reveal. It's still the AI. Karai's daughter has no will of her own and is basically dead. Lady Shredder is still ultimately the AI. They just happen to look like Karai's daugher now.

But I'll still take any Image TMNT stories over any IDW TMNT stories, any damn day of the week. Image TMNT is what got me back into TMNT in high school. That $hit is my jam; terrible Pimiko outfit, undesired Image crossovers, and weird AI Lady Shredder ain't gonna change that for me.

Oh, totally. I'm having a wonderful time. Though ultimately, I think the chips are falling in favor of the Modeen conclusion for me.

After all, Andrew didn't include the Warlord Komodo, who I'm delighted to see again. Two very different stories. Enjoyed one immensely, and enjoying the other one just as much.

Apparrently I am cleared to say this... but I've been assisting Gary on this the whole time. Given many notes and he's been receptive on pretty much every one the entire time.
This is gonna be pretty cool, folks. And there's even a small injection of what Arseniy and I did into things. In a few ways. And one big way, to come.

Is that an IDW thing or a continuation of the Image series?

I just realised that naming Karai's daughter Amai instead of Umai was a mistake.

It is really neat seeing two extremely different takes on how TMNT Volume 3 concludes. I'm enjoying this a lot, and hope it bodes well for future mature TMNT projects. Explain it to the rest of us...?

Karai means spicy, Umai means tasty. Amai is very close but not quite right.

Oh, I just mean the remaining 2 issues.
Well.. even "Saki" isn't a "correct" Japanese name. And we've been living with that for 40 years almost.

Umai wouldn't be a real name either, it would just be funny.

Like almost all Japanese, Karai can be read or meant in different ways. 辛い - harsh temperment 鹹い - spicy 渦雷: Tropical cyclone 花蕾: Flower bud (you know, like blossoming)

No, not really. It's not really all that sudden. The armor has been it's own entity since issue 12 or 13, and even before that they were building up that it could become it's own thing. Besides, all the other people it was joined with were still there. Karai's daughter is a non-character, and her being here has no impact on anything in the story. If you swapped her out for anyone else nothing would change. If the AI hadn't been involved, the only real options for a reveal would be Karai or Tang Amaya, who kind of doesn't exist to begin with. Anyone else would have to have come out of nowhere and thus wouldn't serve the purpose of a dramatic reveal.
