Two Group W Productions ads promoting Seasons 3 and 8
Here I present to you two promotional ads released by the syndicator for the OT.
But as we all know, eventually the network wanted the show to get into the "action zone", so:

Love it
The only thing I wasn't to thrilled about is when they changed the song. But it grows on you quick.

I absolutely adore the second theme, personally. Loved it from day one. Heck, it might be the best part of the Red Sky seasons for me, pfft. Sweet ads though, thanks for sharing.

It's funny how the Season 8 promo is trying so hard to be taken seriously with phrases such as "ENOUGH! Of The Good Guys Stuff" and "Turtles Get Tough This Season". Not that I'm disrespecting the ad or anything, but maybe something more hauntingly ominous could have worked to follow the ominous visual tone with the Red Sky background.
...Wait a minute... is that a slight steroid gut that Leonardo has on the lower half of his plastron? Maybe the Turtles were pressured to take them like most real-life actors in Hollywood action films. |

I have a copy of the Season 3 promo.. The Season 8 promo is new to me. I liked Season 8 song and all. Then they had to go and ruin it with Super Mutations and whatnot after that.

Two more trade ads released during the later portion of Season 4, Ratings Info
As you can see during the height of the OT's popularity, it was the #1 program for kids all-around! Note that this was for the syndicated programs at the time; of course the CBS episodes for Saturday morning were also #1 against its competition. More than one out of every ten children were tuned in, more than Tiny Toons and any Disney Afternoon show. Naturally the ratings for May would be a bit lower than February due to the warmer weather, but a 44 share sounds something out of fantasyland these days compared to those pre-SNES days.

Man I wish Power Rangers never came to the U.S. and took away TMNT's popularity

I had no idea TaleSpin was so popular. Higher ratings than Tiny Toon Adventures and DuckTales?!
