Wow, Trumblr is definitely failing big time there...

Shame that the doings of users gets a popular site removed, but maybe it will provoke them to step it up and get that resolved. In an age where facial recognition is possible, there is no excuse not to have a system that can't recognize and flag other such things like that.

Management has been really awful ever since the Yahoo purchase; the staff themselves have pretty much little to do with the "progressiveness" among the locals, and have basically shot themselves in the foot in the midst of demands to get rid of porn bots that were plaguing the place.

Tumblr cries censorship while they were the ones who helped propagate this culture of everything needs to be censored because it offends me. While it deserves it, the implications are not fun since not only can you not do a 180 on what the platform has been used for they implemented a ridiculous algorithm flagging things that shouldn't. I've seen articles where people who have no idea what tumblr is are saying "this is good" because of whatever article that had a horrible take on the situation and people are not going to disagree in saying that keeping adult stuff to people who shouldn't be viewing it as bad. This is the strategy politicians always use to pass laws because no one wants to vote against something that is doing "good".
