Lego Dimensions
Lego Dimensions has been announced, Its basically like Skylanders and Disney Infinity, But using actual Lego Toys as the figures, To put in the video game.
http://kotaku.com/new-lego-game-leaks-1696710755 It's too bad that Lego TMNT was retired, It would've been cool to see them in this game. Last edited by TigerClaw; 04-09-2015 at 10:18 AM. |

It was a fun short movie, but it didn' show much of the game. Nifty idea to build the portal, though.
I'm curious on how you get new figures in the game, can you scan old minifigs, or do you have to buy entirely new ones from LEGO Dimensions sets? Edit: Nevermind, looks like you have to buy LEGO Dimensions specific sets. Still spiffy, but that's a bit disapointing. |

Too bad the TMNT license jumped the Lego ship or else we might have seen some fun tie-ins to this latest marketing bonanza.

I'm a sucker for all things LEGO... I pre-ordered everything.
I might chancel some or all of it though depending on what they show us about it leading up to release. |

Sounds like the rumors were true. It's not terribly surprising, because the bottom looks like it's dropping out on these games. Disney Infinity closed up in the last year and I swear I remember reading that Skylanders was losing some steam. I never tried any of them. Too pricey and always felt almost predatory, hinging entirely on kids getting their parents to spend ridiculous cash on figures in a natural combination of video games and the sort of cartoons shilling action figures style of the 80's. But Lego Dimensions seemed interesting and had a lot of cool crossover stuff.
