At the end of the day, it's called "The UNITED States of America" for a reason. Whatever our differences, be they political, economic, philosophical, spiritual or otherwise, the POINT of this country has always been that people can overcome those differences and find a way to co-exist. Segregating would be an admission of defeat, saying in no uncertain terms that people CAN'T overcome their differences and are all better left to their own kind.

That's exactly the opposite of what America represents.

If some people seriously think that "It just isn't worth it anymore," or that they'd rather only fraternize with their own kind exclusively... those people should take a long hard look in the mirror. Because they're the problem.

I said that last week when he was screaming at the Democrats for not taking the issues in the schools seriously.

I mean, the administrators in Loudoun County, VA covered up the sexual assault of a female student in the girls' room, because her assailant claimed to be trans (or at the least, was wearing a skirt so they could have access to the girls' room). The perpetrator quietly got sent to a different school, where they raped another girl just a few weeks ago. All the while, the school board tried to cover it up, even lied about whether or not any of it even happened. Because making some kids feel "more secure in their gender identity" was more important than keeping people safe and exercising common sense. And THEN there's all the CRT stuff schools are being pushed to teach, and kids being told as young as age 5 that if you're white, you're evil and the source of all society's problems.

All the while, Maher's like, "You guys (Democrats) are gonna lose in Virginia, because you're not listening." In typical Democrat fashion, those in power spent the election cycle TELLING people what they SHOULD care about, and How, and not listening to what they DO care about, and Why. We see how that played out. Even in states where Democrat candidates won their positions, there was a bit of a Red Wave. Over here in NJ it was a real squeaker, and a LOT of people are f*cking PISSED that we got Murphy again. When your property taxes under a Democrat governor are $10-15,000 a year, you start exploring any and all other options. Just for example.

Anyways, I generally don't care much for Maher as I find him a bit too smug and some of his takes on things are flat-out garbage. I also can't help but notice that more than anything else, his only true consistent trait is that he rages against whichever side is in power. When the Republicans are in control, he talks constant sh*t about them, but when the Democrats are in power he suddenly has a ton of bad things to say about them, too. I don't think he's ENTIRELY insincere - he always raises good talking points, even if I don't agree with his position on This or That - but I do think that he's more concerned with simply being an iconoclast more than he is in having a consistent point of view.

But yeah, lately he's been on the ball with a ton of what he's been saying. Especially with pointing out how badly Democrats talk down to people as if anyone who disagrees with them is an idiot or a monster. You don't win people over that way no matter how sure you are that you're "on the right side of history". We're seeing that now with Biden and Harris's approval ratings tanking.

I don't actually watch the guy (I don't watch any political TV whatsoever) but my father-in-law watches him all the time, so I see/hear a lot when I'm in the kitchen making dinner.

They're annoying, but pretty sure it was established on Day One that they still have a right to their opinion.

Anyone who hates it here that much can by all means move elsewhere. Some have, most don't. I don't think secession or a mass exodus is the answer to anything. For starters, if all the Liberals packed up and left, inside of five years their socialist utopia would completely fall apart and they'd be begging to rejoin the Union with their tails between their collective legs, because a society needs infrastructure and People In Charge, two things most liberals don't care for or believe in. So it would be a colossal waste of time.

The ones who slay me are the ones who move to Canada and claim that it's because they couldn't stand all the racism in the U.S. I suppose when you move to a place where 99.9% of the people are white, that DOES cease to be a pressing concern.

No, the country needs to put on it's big girl/boy pants and work out its differences and growing pains rather than running to respective corners and crying about wanting to split up and go home.

Breaking up would probably just completely forfeit any standing we have in the world in the minds of everyone else. If the U.S. can't even work out its own issues, then who would we even be to think we're a world leader. The two sections would inevitably just be weaker. One probably turning too liberal on too many issues and the other turning into the Christian version of the Middle East... Both would likely fail if you take out the balance of needing to find center ground.

I don't know about all THAT. If you look at the places in the U.S. with the most violent crime, homelessness, and people sh*tting in the street and passing out with needles in their arm on the steps of the elementary school... those places are OVERWHELMINGLY Democrat-controlled.

For better or worse, the parts of the country that are predominantly Republican have their sh*t collectively way more together. Some things go beyond political opinion into simple statements of fact. That's why when people get old, they almost always move to places that are predominantly conservative. They're just nicer, safer, cleaner places to live. Or why rich people send their kids to schools in conservative districts and not liberal districts; same thing. They want their kids to learn actual skills, not be spoon-fed gender studies and critical race theory nonsense.

So I think if things DID fracture along Red and Blue lines... not much would change on the Red side, things would be pretty much the same as they are now. The Blue side, though, would fall apart pretty quickly. San Francisco used to be nice; not so much anymore.

I think they'd probably realize they screwed up the first time they sent a social worker instead of a cop to try and defuse a violent domestic dispute, and three people ended up dead as a result. You'd see a lot of that.

Thing is, without workers (i.e. proletariat), which Leftards are supposed to help with, those smoothie consumers won't be able to do anything. Because, hi-tech is impossible without raw materials and for raw materials you need factories and workers in your home land or you need to buy **** overseas.

Obviously smoothie lovers won't go into mines, so they will give this task to the migrants (or force them to, like commies do). It won't turn out well, since there will be constant mutinies about payment and quality of life, which eventually result in the brutal rules established to keep migrants in line, which maybe will produce some results.

But since after hypothetical division, economy would be in shambles they won't be able to buy stuff overseas, so basically in order to do anything, they will NEED a brutal dictatorship to make things work.

So, as we can saw back in 2020 with all those CHADs territories, it will boil down to the tyranny and enforcing rules. But since, modern commies are imbeciles, it will crumble ASAP.

Alaska would be relatively fine because its isolated. Hawaii is also isolated but democrat controlled so a slow burn & everyone ends up dead. America is at war already yet most refuse to believe it & just keep doing what they're doing...

I think eventually we will. The left will never get along with the right.

However the left just wants the right gone. Even if the US split, the left will continue to bother the right. They'll still demand the right states turn left anyway. They just can't leave **** alone.
