Nothing you say ever makes any sense.

I don't remember the Mirage comics including any "Play me!" electronic audio devices with them. Maybe I'm way off.

We only known how they sounded like thanks to the 87 series. So its how we always heard them, Though they kind of stopped doing the stereotypical voices after they did the 2012 series.

Oh, you mean the children's spinoffs? Those don't have anything to do with the Mirage stuff/the source material.

Some of the things here that require explanation fascinate me.

What's more is that he'll be more offended by what I just said there than your routine use of passively/veiled calling someone an idiot, you know? Which is, ironically yet even more behavioral evidence.

Dang, what kind of "comics" have you been reading?

Yes. Why? Because humanoid and just the 'fact' that raspy or otherwise odd voices would very possibly get really annoying to listen to.

Imagine watching a 2 hour movie and, for a random example, it stars a group of characters who all sound like they've been smoking heavily for 50 years. Good god, no thanks.

Thanks, I hate it. Though I feel like it would at least ward off most humans. Maybe not Shredder, etc., but the Purple Dragons and other thugs might quickly learn to avoid them based on that scare factor alone. lol

But I guess a bigger question is, why are they often given California accents when they have lived in New York all their lives?
Except for Raph, I likewise, as already been mentioned, always figured it was based on tv. Raph was influenced by the locals. Mikey... the too easily assumed surfer movies. Leo and Donnie definitely from national news and other programming that has the general American accent typically used on tv.

Yes. If they can talk like people, that's fine.

What else they should sound like?
It's not like we have examples of actual turtles speaking human, so...

Probably like how Tokka talked. Imagine an hour and a half of 4 guys with screechy voices and a limited vocabulary.

I wonder is there anyone who would like that?

I would think "just a little off." A little inhuman.

If you're so committed to just the original Mirage comics and nothing else anyway, then why not just read the comics and hear whatever voice you'd like? It doesn't make sense to try to NOT let someone else have what they want when it doesn't really conflict with what you want. If you want raspy, inhuman, barely-comprehendible voices, then just read it that way. Why, oh WHY, would you ever think that removing their human voices would be a good in any audio-visual medium? Just so you can utterly annoy the people that want to enjoy things besides the Image comics?

I wonder if tmnt will eventually get their own “Christian Bale" voices in an attempt to sound super edgy, but just end up sounding super silly instead:

"We must rememmber (incompresensible and raspy growling in between every word), what Master Splinter taught us, rrrrrr rraaarre rrrraaarrr rraaarrrrrr."

Shredder and Krang combined had the biggest arsenal of any villains in all of the cartoons.

Should the Turtles become humanoid like mutants who can speak and have brains identical to ours? Should they have human like diets instead of eating whatever their species of turtle eats? I doubt actual turtles eat pizza!
