Some more art I've done recently (in order of completion).

Falco (Melee version)

Diddy Kong (alternate skin, from Smash 4)

Pharah (Thunderbird skin)

Kabutops

Kayn (League of Legends)

I wasn't happy with the first Kabutops, so I drew it again - except shiny this time. The Dome Fossil & Kabuto were a bonus.

Elemental Toads (Fire & Ice)

I'm getting a little tired of doing the same process every time, though. I think I'd like to start experimenting with different styles/mediums in the near future. I need to work on my speed, as well.

I actually like the first Kabutops picture - was it created as a traditional work and worked on in Photoshop, because I really like the shading on it. Even the line art design around the characters in some of your other pictures, tends to create a few interesting effects within the image.

If you like to take photographs on your spare time, you can digitally add those as backgrounds for your future works. Or if you're a fan of simple black & white, that can be a neat opportunity to play with shading.

Thought I'd toss those ideas in case you were up to trying something a little different. Otherwise, your artstyle rocks.

The Kabutops was done 100% traditionally (with pencil/pen/markers), and then I took a picture when it was finished. The texture "frame" in the image was just the ground (although I did find that texture to be fitting for that work in particular).

I'm really glad you brought up backgrounds, 'cause that's definitely one of the weakest aspects of my art in general (I usually don't even include a background). Using photographs for those is a nice idea - I've seen people do that & make it work. I just need to test it; and I should probably stop leaving backgrounds blank, at the very least. Monochrome would be a good idea to experiment with contrast, I agree. I think I'll be starting on some charcoal drawings pretty soon, but I could try out some monochromatic digital drawings, as well. Good suggestions - I'll take those into account.

Thank you for the compliments also!

I've been trying to learn at least one new tool/technique for each subsequent piece, with moderate success. And it's nice that I'm including more backgrounds now, even if it's only a simple one. I'll consistently be looking for new stylistic influences in the near future, and see where that takes me. I'll try to have more than just Pokémon next time, as well.
