The 87 show is it's own unique thing that has it's own style, and the comic, as a continuation, should continue that where it can. If this comic went full Archie, it wouldn't be nearly as fun because it would defeat the point and would be a BAD 87 continuation. But here, we get the best of everything; the 87 interpretation of characters, but with better writing, a bit of real continuity, and free of animation errors. We don't need to pretend the 87 show is flawless, but when the comic is TRYING to be the 87 show we can and should lean into it and join in on the joke.

Plus, it's just objectively funnier if he never takes off his mask, especially in situations where it doesn't make sense that he's wearing it. Like the episode where he became a white collar employee.

Yeah I love how there's continuity not just with the show itself but now within the new adventures in the comics. I also love how even though the stories can be sorta stand-alone of episodic, they still throw in tidbits of whatever Shredder and Krang are up to which will eventually lead to its own story down the line, It helps tie the series together.

I somehow missed this one. Might have to go hunting at alternate comic shops.

The only NECA figure that we know is directly inspired by this book is Dark Leonardo.

And Casey’s face. But the toy came first I guess.

FINALLY got my hands on this one, again at the alternate comic book store. Man, it feels good to live in a larger city with at least 5 comic book shops to choose from.

Anyways here we go. I notice a few continuity flubs, which is odd and rare considering how deep the series has so far dug into the FW lore. Despite the issue with Chrome Dome referencing how Splinter defeated him in Night of the Rogues.... this one seems to completely disregard Tempestra's role in the same episode. I kinda go into 'well achk-tually' mode in this one.
