The first DLC is hitting February 5th, adding Casey as a playable character in a new story involving the Punk Frogs.

I am still waiting for a physical version of this game to be released. I am starting to get impatient though. I have a feeling that right as I buy a digital copy, a physical one will be announced. If Rita's Rewind is getting a physical release then why not this game too?

Honestly, with how much they potentially have planned for the game road map ... a physical may be a ways away and could be something that comes out once they've exhausted all potential DLC.

It's on sale right now on the switch shop for 15 bucks. I think that I am finally going to cave in and buy it later today.

So I beat the game 8 times and it was a lot of fun. To be honest, I didn't like the game very much at first. I was tired of seeing nothing but the first 2 levels. However, I kept playing and kept getting stronger. Since the levels are slightly different with different enemies who also get stronger it never got boring. It's exciting seeing what powers you get for each run. I also highly recommend the downoadable content with Casey Jones and the Junkyard level. This is a very fun game if you keep playing it.

One other thing that I really like about this game is that you can just hold the attack button down just like Gauntlet Dark Legacy. That way it doesn't kill my hands.

Physical release confirmed! It'll hit Switch, PS5, PS4, and Xbox on August 26th and include both the Casey Jones DLC AND a future, unannounced DLC pack! (Also included is a pack of spiffy foil trading cards!)

Figures that this'd happen a couple days after I bought the Casey DLC. Oh well, I don't mind double-dipping for my collection and now I know not to buy DLC 2.

Alongside the Deluxe Edition, there will also be a "Pipin' Hot Collector's Edition," which not only includes the game, DLC, and cards, but also a set of "Mutant Ooze Green" tabletop RPG dice in a special TMNT dice box, two posters, a 50-page retro game manual and artbook, a two-sided coin, and IDW's Splintered Fate Prequel comic, all served up in special pizza box packaging.

That "Pipin' Hot" edition will probably cost over $100 and be exclusive to a pre-order window through LimitedRun but that "50-page retro game manual and artbook" does pique my interest.
