Mando shoots Baby Yeed in the face, gets depressed, and passes his helmet onto a little kid.
Directed by Rian Johnson. |

First three eps were good because it was like a videogame, and baby Yod-ling is cute, but the fourth episode was awful. Reminded me of the bad Star Trek episodes where they land on a planet and help random villagers with their problems.
*shudders* Also unless the rest of the series picks up, this show just feels like isolated stories of Mando with a baby. It's just ok so far. |

Thought it was great. It's so nice to watch a show without agenda and simply for fun and story. I'd say the only misstep was the "Teach the farmers how to fight" ep. The show is very much a live action cartoon.
This year is going to be great for T.V. with this, The Orville and Picard. |

It's awesome. Definitely a fan and I'm not really big into SW like some other franchises. Give it a 9.5 out of 10. Could stand to be a little longer imo.

Now suddenly at the end of the show they reveal that he's a dark side force user, lmao! That's why he made the little fist when force choking Cara Dune.... That would be cause for a Vader "Noooooooooo!!!!" |

The most impressive thing about the show is the production values. It honestly looks as good as the movies. There’s no jarring TV show budget like most companies would give a show like this. Disney pours the money into this.

The obvious inclination would be that a somewhat more grown up Baby Yoda will show up around the time of the sequel trilogy, now 30 years older. Like in whatever spinoff Finn and the new characters from TROS get. To try and save that.

Well, I just finished it, and thought it sucked. No character development and I'm not too keen on a major character where you can't even see the face. I guess I'm more of the Jedi fan when it comes to Star Wars than an EU fan.

Most of it was pretty good, although the highs are the last two episodes. Outside of the ep where he landed on the planet to help villagers, the rest of it was pretty good.

Most people credit the "arm and train the peasants" story as originating in modern pop culture with "The Seven Samurai". There's a million stories like that long before Game of Thrones did it. It's become a storytelling trope. Hell I think they even cribbed it into Star Wars before with a Clone Wars episode!

Apparently Rosario Dawson is gonna be Ahsoka in season 2?

They cast a black actress for her? Guess it makes sense since she’ll be covered by red face paint anyway.
I’m surprised how little promotion Ahsoka has outside the cartoons given she’s female and a popular character. You would think Disney would be rushing to give her a solo movie or something but nothing happened. |

Rosario Dawson isn't black at all. She's Cuban/Puerto Rican.
