God, re-reading these comments is crazy.

This episode is one of the most detested in the fandom, yet the reception seems to range from lukewarm to positive. Very interesting...

Perceptions on this episode seems to have changed over time.

Most people don't tend to think too hard about what they just saw and others tend to overlook the flaws of something they otherwise enjoy. These people might only re-evaluate what they saw after a rewatch or when their perception of the show overall has soured a bit.

There are actually people out there who claim to love Force Awakens, Last Jedi and Rise of Skywalker even though there's an obvious discord between the movies. So I'm not really surprised that someone would initially think this episode is good, even though the two characters introduced are annoying, the whole premise is dumb and the episode just decides to shoot it's own message in the foot by the end, just to perpetuate a dumb running gag.

This was the Bigfoot ep, right? Yeah this was the weakest ep of the series by far. It didn't really feel like a TMNT episode but something from another show.

I actually liked a lot of the other horror eps in early Season 3 but a few, but this one was really boring even as a comedy episode.

That's because the creator of this show is a huge horror movie fan, So he had characters that kind of look like Jason or Freddie in some episodes.
