6 Episodes in and this is my second favorite Marvel Netflix show besides the Daredevil Seasons. I don't find this show slow at all I like how its a character breakdown of Frank and how War Affects people differently.

Haven't gotten around to starting this yet... need to finish my rewatch of Stranger Things first.

I'll be watching the final two episodes of ST tonight, and with hope starting on Punisher over the Turkey Day holiday. (Unless I can get my family to watch season 1 of Stranger Things.)

If there's one thing Marvel Netflix refuses to give us, it's costumes.

Can't believe the bad guy was once the pretty boy Prince Caspian from Chronicles of Narnia. |

Loving it so far. So much better quality production and writing than "The Defenders."
I do wish they'd include more nods to the greater MCU (I hate to say it, but in a world where there's been a full-scale alien invasion 3 years ago, the worldwide Ultron evil robots killing people thing, giant hellicarriers flying around and Hydra infiltrating massive levels of government and military... is 9/11 and Afghanistan really all that's worth talking about now?) but it's pretty damn good. Only 4 episodes left.

Just finished Punisher Netflix. Its the best Punisher to date. Not for the faint of heart it gets really bloody. Jon Bernthal owns the role as Frank/Punisher

Absolutely owns it. There is no comparison to any Punisher before him.
I finished it last night. Amazing. Sidenote: there is no way this takes place after "The Defenders," right? Karen doesn't seem particularly distraught about Daredevil/her boyfriend being dead. She doesn't even mention him.

On episode 10 now, enjoying it a lot so far
I'm surprised by the amount of comedy in the show, I like it. It's not a lot but it's pretty good writing In the past, I would have wished that the series had more connections or at least references to the wider events of the MCU, but I've come to terms with the fact that the movies are on one level, the Netflix shows on another, and the ABC shows on another level, and there's little to no interplay between any of them anymore, and I think at this point I like that because I think some of the events of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Inhumans would cheapen the MCU proper and the Netflix shows. I wouldn't mind if the connections between the Netflix shows and the MCU were strengthened again; as long as they mind the timeline they could still pretty easily fit everything together.

There will eventually come a time, for sure, when the movie people will decide they need or want, say, the Punisher or Daredevil to appear in their movie. It will be interesting to see what happens at that point.

Just finished the series. That was a pretty tight first season, I liked it more than I thought I would. The Punisher as comic book character never really appealed to me; I'd seen him in various team-up stories but never read any of his solo series stuff. He always seemed like he was putting on airs and too self-righteous, but the Punisher on the show is way more down-to-earth, much more of a Regular Joe

Yep, I love this version of him the best. They did him good, 9/10 in my book.
I very much look forward to the second season. |
