Playmates TMNT Vs. Cobra Kai

Listings for the Playmates TMNT Vs. Cobra Kai sets have been found online.

There is Raphael vs. John Kreese, Leonardo vs. Miguel, Michelangelo vs. Daniel Larusso, and Donatello vs. Johnny Lawrence.

Oh, god. This is going to be terrible.

And since when did Playmates get the Cobra Kai license?

I also think it's a huge miss that there is only one new Cobra Kai character. Ditch Kreese for one of the other kids—Hawk or Samantha (but we all know it would never be Samantha because, ew, girls don't sell).

I disagree. Ditch all the millennial characters and only use the better older characters.

I mean, I get it, but that's just The Karate Kid.

It really doesn't matter. If this is real, it's going to be horrible no matter who the characters are.

I agree but it should be Johnny vs Raph, Kreese vs Leo, Daniel vs Don and Mikey vs anyone non millennial plus Splinter vs Miyagi.

The thought of this made me seriously laugh. Although I could just have easily cried. LOL! I'm a HUGE Karate Kid and Cobra Kai fan but man...

I love how that Twitter post starts with "it's happening!" LMAO as if everyone wanted this for years or something.

It's the same small minded BS that leads millenial and Gen Y internet writers to headline articles that start with "It's Time...." and "We need to talk about..." and other completely passive-aggressive nonsense that some fool learned "behaviors that make a leader!" in a community college Leadership Studies class.

It's all so f'n insipid.

Amen brother. I'm very interested to see what they turn out. Right now I'll go in with no expectations. I like the Karate Kid and Cobra Kai but figures? Nah, I don't think so. I'm curious to see the turtles offerings though. Similar to how I was with the Batman vs TMNT stuff.

They are playmates toys..... they likely will look horrible in comparison to Super7 or NECA anyway.

I wonder if we'll just get re-releases of the 89 Turtles again with new rereleases of these Remco Karate Kid figures. I mean who has the rights to Remco's toy lines?

yeah that was literally what I had thought as well but would that be worth 50.00 a pack? if they had access to them I would 100% say this is what they would do because they are playmates.

Jakks Pacific looks like they own Remco, or at least whatever was left of it back in 1997.

I still think we will see the playmates classics figures yet again along with whatever they can scrap together for the cobra kai figures but no matter what I expect the same body used on all 4 cobra kai figures.

Is it wrong that I would want the cobra Kai figures to look like Playmates old Dick Tracy line?

Might as well go full retro since we know they won’t pull off modern well.

She's emo and sings in low, "I don't care" tonality. She probably saw that figure and said, with absolutely no intonation whatsoever, "Wowwwww... Thaatt'ss grrrreaaaattt".
