That's an amazing cover! Very Dragon Ball Multiverse special chapter-esque. Despite the fact that there are three/four other characters on the cover and that only one of Raph's sais appears on there, it seems safe to say that he'll be featured front and center in the plot of the Annual.

What I still can't figure out - both from this and #100 - is if Krang is supposed to be in a cavity inside Leatherhead's abdomen (in which case, most likely, RIP to the big guy) or "just" to attached and protruding from his body...

Going by the epilogue from #100 Krang is in a cavity in Leatherhead's abdomen as he's shown clawing the flesh away from his front before Krang is revealed.

It looked to me like he was just holding his midsection in pain moments before Krang emerged. Jesus, there's no clean cut (pun intended) way out of this one for poor LH, is there?

The war is over. The Dragon is destroyed. The city is saved. But at what cost? Splinter is gone, the Turtles are in disarray, and the Shredder has returned. But all is not as it seems as the Turtles' most-feared enemy struggles with this new opportunity to regain his honor. Meanwhile, a nearly decimated Foot Clan belongs to Karai, but can she truly rise to the task in the shadow of its greatest warrior? And how does a newly-changed Leatherhead fit into a post-mutation NYC?

he is cut off from his troops and now immersed in human culture.

I understand that the purpose of the annual is to address the fallout of City at War but I'm not gonna lie, I laughed pretty hard when I saw this.

I love the Annual already! Though I always figured Stockman would've used the Mousers for this job.

Aaand now I'm wondering if the sewer creature from the second arc of the Campbell era isn't somehow related to the disposal of the remains by City Hall...

Ha! They’re actually addressing the dragon carcass! I couldn’t stop thinking about it.

Dragon carcass... and the Dragon Warrior! Not to mention a certain pesky Rat King. All are present (and more) in the TMNT ANNUAL 2020, coming July 22.

Lots more cool Adam Gorham rendered preview art on my Twitter feed for anyone who's interested. (@tomwaltz)

"Are you not entertained?!"

Talk soon...

This one looks particularly impressive to me, like something straight out of an old school Fighting Fantasy gamebook:

Looks awesome. Hopefully the colors don't alter it too much.

I actually wouldn't mind if this was fully black and white, in keeping with the other annuals and just because of how damn good that art looks as-is.

And I don't think I'm alone in that.

I would still prefer colour myself; I don't have anything against black and white, I just have a lot of trouble working out which turtle is which, especially in the early mirage style (hence why couldn't really get into Volume 1) and sometimes it's also tricky to discern whats even happening in some panels.
