Netflix's "We Have a Ghost". Wasn't a comedy like I expected, but was pretty decent. The guy who plays Jim Hopper in Stranger Things is the ghost.

Finally saw Knock At The Cabin. It was a solid flick. I wouldn't buy it on DVD or anything but it's worth watching.

Netflix's "Viking Wolf" is... meh.
If you don't care for open ended movies, maybe pass on it. I don't mind mild open endings that simply leave you thinking, but this is a case where it feels like it ended at half a movie. Spoiler:

Netflix's "The Magician's Elephant," a visually and emotionally beautiful animated movie. Highly recommended.

John Wick 4. Non stop action. The dog was cute too. Badass car chase seen in Paris.

Netflix movie "Chupa" was cute. The baby chupacabra that's like a mashup of a cat, a dog, and a bird is pretty adorable.
Think the adult ones could have been designed a little better in the face to not just look like a larger model of the baby one. And I could have done without the baby using its front paws like hands or "howling" to the tune the kid was singing, those were a bit of a stretch for something that's just a mysterious animal. (Save that stuff for humanoid creatures. Or at least something part squirrel?) Otherwise, decent movie. Seems to take place in the 90s? Me sitting there looking at the stuff in the kid's room in the background and asking "What, no Turtles?" Kid gets off the airplane wearing a TMNT shirt. I spoke too soon. |

Finally watched Super Mario Brothers. It was fantastic a love letter to the franchise and Nintendo. I can't wait for the sequel and eventual Zelda movie

Netflix's Nimona is quite good and worth the watch. I know it's supposedly rare that they do sequels for their animated movies, but I hope it gets one.
If you're a Raph fan you very possibly may love the title character and all her spunky, rebel attitude. (And it supposedly originates as a comic, too?) All I kept thinking is if it had been a crossover he'd highly likely be totally smitten with her. Just vaguely disappointed that her shape shifting ability didn't include a bipedal turtle just once. lol |

12 Angry Men.
It's simply one of the greatest movie experiences I've ever had.

Insidious Red Door. Dunno about anyone else but I hope they don’t continue this franchise. Comedy and Tip Toe Through The Tulips aside, these movies, and I’ve only seen this one and the first, are kinda silly and aside from occasional jump scares, aren’t scary imo

The Mark of Zorro from 1920.
Fun silent film era adventure film that was surprisingly faithful to The Curse of Capistrano, which was Zorro's first appearance that came out the year before.

Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning part 1. Really enjoyed it. Lots of action sequences and story made sense, can’t wait to see the conclusion
