Now, for my purchase of the year...
A highly detailed, repainted Johnny Five robot figure from the Short Circuit films. A friend of mine is one of the creators of this masterpiece, of which there are only 100 in existence. (They're making a second run however, so you can get one as well.) It stands 13" tall, can be posed in several positions, has real working rubber treads and comes with both the laser and red tool box accessories. There's also a battery compartment available for an RC conversion, should one desire it.

This really made my day, as I had passed on the figure when it was first released and had regretted it ever since. That is, until today when a kind and talented stranger in need of some urgent funds posted it for sale! The $ went to a good cause and I'm soooo relieved that I don't have to order one from the second batch and attempt a custom paint job that wouldn't look anywhere near as good as this.

What a great day. Number 5 is STILL Alive!

I got the Mattel 4-inch Hal Jordan Basic Figure from the Green Lantern movie line.

Oh, by the way, six points of articulation with two accessories, IS NOT worth $7.

Kilowog fig looks good though.

That sounds like a good new action figure. The store I went to was sold out of Hal Jordan figures in the green costume. It seems like there was some kind of sparkling looking Hal, like in a dark costume. I don't know what it was. Sinestro looks like a cool figure, but I wish he was in his yellow costume.

Yesterday I bought Green Lantern's Kilowog, and from the Thor movie I bought the Frost Giant. They're cool dudes.

I agree, the 4" Green Lantern movie figures should cost less than $7, or have more articulation. The store I went to sold Kilowog for $12.99. I got ripped off.

Transformers Dark of the Moon voyager class Megatron and deluxe class Starscream. Out of the two I think that Starscream is the better looking figure.

My local Zellers (soon to be Target) was having a Transformer sale last weekend and what did I find behind the mounds of leader Bumblebee figures for $30?
Leader-class STARSCREAM!

I've wanted it for some time but I don't enjoy paying full price for these... although I must say, this one was worth it!
I also picked up the DotM deluxe version for my desk. Hero's review pushed me over the edge.

Oh and Marvel Select Juggernaut:

^ Talk about lucky... I can't find Shockwave anywhere. Gonna' check Toys R Us soon, or eBay as a last resort. I keep finding Megs, Optimus and Iron Hide, none of which I really like from this series. Shockwave however looks awesome!

My local comic shop had the first version of the 18" Freddy Krueger MIB, so I nabbed him this morning!
