Boycott no? Bomb? Possibly.

Then TPTB will think 'nobody likes Ninja Turtles anymore' and we'll be stuck in another TMNT drought.

I'm ok with that. I'd rather have them take a brake from lazy reboots for a couple years, then have more of this crap.

I don't think this movie will even do well in the box office, honestly. Kids nowadays do not care about TMNT. Older fans won't be interested in this either. I honestly have no idea who this movie is aimed at.

I can only guess teenagers if Rogen and them play their cards right.

At least all the ones on Reddit that are happy that the TMNT are "finally" cast with teen actors, as if the fictional talking Turtles have been cheated out of sounding like "real teens" all these years. Like little else is realistic, but that should be?

I'd just about die for a series (or movies) starring 25/30-year-old Turtles at this point. edit: Aside from in comics.

Ehh, I don't know... The last time we got middle-aged turtles was TMNT Vol. 4, and, well... we all saw how THAT turned out.

Personally, I'd love to see a faithful, animated adaptation of Mirage vol. 1, put on Adult Swim, and maybe created by Genndy Tartakovsky.

I wouldn't take the TMNT sub Reddit to seriously. They also think The Last Ronin is the best comic ever made.

So TMNT 2003 but for adults? I'm sold.

Well it would get me watching Adult Swim again, that's for sure. IF Paramount/Viacom allowed it to be on a channel that isn't one of theirs.

Well, yeah, that's what I would do if I was allowed to to a TMNT show if I had a limit of under 50 episodes. So it is hardly a bad idea.

Though personally I have made an outline of how it would be possible to make a 181 episode show almost entirely using material from V1, V2, TV1, TV2, Micros and various minis, with the rest of the details being what can be inferred, there is basically just one original story in there and it's mostly just meant to tie into the existing material. Hell, 181 isn't even the final number, it's just what I've managed figure out how to put in with an incomplete knowledge of TV2, had I read more of it then there is a distinct possibility it could exceed 200 episodes.

Sounds interesting. Would you be covering "Gang Wars" from Tales Vol. 2? I loved Tristan Jones' take on them.

Yes, I haven't included it in my outline but it would fit. The reason I haven't is simply because I've only included issues I've either read or know are important.

Lmao isn’t it the norm, or was the norm, to have twenty-something’s pass off as teenagers?

I’m having some serious Robot Chicken vibes here

The trailer has that nostalgic TMNT feel to it, and I'm loving the designs. They're not over the top. I like Donnie's glasses. I love Raph's over-the-head bandanna. The animation grew on me. It's clear that, even with the merch, Rogen & co. are pitching it to the kids while cleverly also pitching it to us 30 somethings.

Welp, the spoilers that have recently been posted prove that I’m not crazy for boycotting this garbage movie.

Unless you loved the Bayverse films, you’re gonna hate Mutant Mayhem
