This didn’t hit me quite as hard as James Avery passing, but it’s so sad when a talent who brought you joy in your youth dies. This definitely makes me want to pop in my FW DVDs. Maybe me and the boy will watch a few this weekend.

What are his most iconic Splinter episodes? Maybe “The Old Switcheroo” and “Splinter No More”, if I’m just picking two.
The Legend of Koji

I also really like his words of wisdom with Peter Reneday's voice, just to name a few:

"Stormy seas grow calm when the wind stops blowing. Calm your mind, and you will find the answer" The Return of Dregg.

"Do not despair. In life, there is always hope" Return of the Technodrome.

"Winning is nothing. Doing your best and acting with honor are the only things that matter" The Wrath of the Rat King.

"Concentrate on the task at hand, let nothing else enter your mind" The Wrath of Medusa.

What are some of your favorites?

Excellent choices.

All great! My all timer is “Gentle always turns away strong”. I tell my son that probably once a week, since before he could walk.

There's the ep from Season 6 where April and Splinter are teamed-up to fight the Terminator robot after Kerma. That was a great Splinter ep.

Yes!! Splinter rarely helped the Turtles against secondary villains besides The Rat King. The Maltest Hamster as well as Split-Second and The Day The Earth Disappeared are good examples too.

I liked Splinter's line in the episode 'The Incredible Shrinking Turtles'.

Quote:
Shredder: Not bad for a rusty old "has-been"!

Splinter: One with a face made of metal should not use the word "rusty"!
