I am actually surprised they appear to be new, albeit out of scale, sculpts. Sure hope people like them since we will prob see them released over and over for the next 10 years lol.
Good call, i'll just wait for them to release Shredder and Triceraton 2 pack
approximately 8 years from now so i don't have to rebuy those damn overgrown turtles!

That shredder might be ok, but the head looks off.

I am in for a shredder to at least see it in person.

But that trike...wtf scale?!?! They should be AT LEAST as big as BB/RS

Scale on all those is terribly bad. The turtles are huge compared to them, lol.

What’s up with the Triceraton’s torso? He looks so weirdly proportioned not to mention way to small next to Raph. Looks like I get to save some money!

I am so disappointed with these figures. The Turtles and Bebop and Rocksteady were decent figures. Nothing great, but okay.
So I was kinda looking forward to seeing a new Shredder figure, and wow... I am not happy with it. That head looks so bad. The body looks alright, but that head is so out of scale and weirdly shaped. It looks kinda flat.

Playmates should just give up the TMNT brand already. They can never dream of being even close to competing with Neca and Super7.

This is even more confusing considering how aesthetically on point the 2K3 Playmates line was.

Playmates strikes again with their mess of scale. If ever a toyline demanded proper in-line scale and BAF offerings, it is TMNT.

If these are available in the UK I'm definitely grabbing Shredder, possibly the Triceraton set.

They are dumb as expected, but dang is this like the first new things from Playmates since Rise (as in not repaints/rereleases)? They get that much props I'll tell ya. But it ain't much.

The biggest and most honest issue with these, regardless of quality, is that most and probably all of us here will be double dipping in some capacity just to land the Triceraton and the Shredder if we really want them.

I'm sure that almost every collector here worth their salt picked those Turtles up years ago when they were single packed.

Yep I'm going to get shredder and tri (and the doubles they come with, to my chagrin). I actually like the figures and have had them on display for years. They may be lacking in some areas but they are legit Playmates TMNT and so they belong in my collection.

I'm actually thinking of selling off my original 2013 MOC versions and get these instead 'cos they're more space efficient. What do you guys think?

Yeah man - I mean as far as well constructed, articulated figures for mass market go, those were fine action figures and cool representation of the TMNT. I think the real issue with them was that Playmates tried to market them as "animated TMNT" when in fact they were just "Super 7'd Playmates TMNT" before Super 7 did it. They never should've marketed them as "animated series TMNT", but they are cool figures.

I can see the higher ups in a marketing meeting right now...

Playmates MBA #1
"We are behind on our annual income and there is little interest in our new I.P. offerings."

Playmates MBA #2
"Well..... TMNT is evergreen for us.... leeeettttttt's..... hmmmm... let's dust off another set of old molds. Resin is on sale next month and we can go back to batch for 25,000 units. We will put them in a new box - those guys buy anything.... We can also put a dab of paint on the eyeballs to give the Turtles irises!"

Playmates MBA's as a group:
Looks around the room laughing. All light up cigars.

Triceraton looks decent but did Playmates forget classic collection 6 inch figures
were supposed to have painted weapons?

Shredder is terrible. Definitely skipping now.
